I’ve modified the topic title to include the word BETA. Cut out the personal attacks. You’re grown men. Take a chill pill.

  • The beef is you don't know how to make a proper title, and your response is rude.

  • Give it up folks. This has become so childish. I omitted the word Beta in the title, yet included the word beta twice in the message INCLUDING THE LINK TO THE ASOBO BETA PAGE FOR SU16 BETA.  Please, g

The release notes have a grand total of 3 items, 1 of which is Xbox only so I wouldn't get too excited.

RELEASE NOTES Sim Update 16 | MSFS 2020

If you are playing on PC, outdated packages in your community folder may have an unexpected impact on the title’s performance and behavior.
If you suffer from stability issues or long loading times, move your community package(s) to another folder before relaunching the title.

Stability & Performance

  • Improved memory management on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X to improve stability

General Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bugs on Timezone system. In addition, data is now more accurate (country coasts and borders, islands, etc)

World

  • Changed the way water bodies polygons work so that overlapping polygons of the same type no longer cancel each other

If thats all thats in SU16, thats a very very very small (and disappointing) update.

One thing to note is that betas can start small and trickle in new fixes / updates as they go along.
I know for sure that SU3 doesn't have all the changes yet implemented that are planned for it, I imagine it's the same case here.

@Christopher Low Possibly good news!  I wonder if this will fix the land bars issue?  I recall checking Southampton Water in '24 for you to see if this was still present...hopefully this fixes this once and for all in 2020!  (and '24)

i hoped maybe they would have included the new bing map imagery for 2020 (wasn't that kind of announced for 2020 at some point last year, not sure though, for sure they probably have all the infrastructure to do it). With the 'MSFS map enhancement' tool we can get the same Bing imagery as v2024 but unfortunately the author made some options 'subscription only' like the color correction that was once free to use 😱.

Hopefully xbox memory management does not mean 'let's hide AI airplanes and other objects as soon as you are 200 meters away from them like in 2024' .... hihi ok i'm just exagerating a bit but well you know with ms/asobo sometimes you wonder what will happen ...... 😜

If they fix the water bodies that affect rivers etc. that's great news!

Flying it now. No real obvious improvement.  No noticeable regressions. Ok so far.

On the official forums they are saying it's fixed.

If the sim exit is fixed MS must have fixed the Gaming Services app. That supposedly was where the problem really was.
