Nice flight from runway 28R today. One small thing I noticed and I dont know if its my system settings or a conflict with another airport or if its a bug but taxiing along taxiway H to runway 28R you pass a somewhat secluded region with many bushes and some of them seem to actually move along with you and in addition are very close or even half way on to the taxiway. Very weird taxii experience.

Perhaps you are right 😄Although It really might also have a little to do with all the countless hours I spend in Taxi Tuner trying to make airport as perfect as possible. Static aircraft are just in the way and also are much likely to conflict with SI parking spots. This unless you spend even more countless hours measuring exactly where every static aircraft are parked and avoid that exact space cm for cm when working T.T. So its not only because I had that extra Budweiser saturday evening that I saw two aircraft parked on the same spot. Static aircraft could be the culprit 🤪

We are different there Vince 😄 If needs be I rather have a totally empty field with say two AI aircraft that I know will interact with me and ATC than having 100 pictures of aircraft (aka static planes) that just sit there looking way ugly. With SI I will get more than two AI as well so that was just to paint a picture of my static aircraft dislike😄

Thank you ever so much Vincent. Quick question when you do the clearing of static aircraft for your own airports do you create some sort of exclude file or how goes the process. I purchased KCRQ yesterday and while a very nice effort from Dreamflight Studios even the most pro static aircraft defender must agree its just way way too much 😄 I was thinking I might have a go at removing some or all. I have seen on flightsim.to individual efforts from people doing this for various payware airports so it cant be impossible.

Yes two bat files and both are clearly off but two Cal fire aircraft are park on the ramp non the less and some static GA. I can check tomorrow if stil there. could perhaps be my 120 GB cache file.

Flew to Ramona today for the first time with both static aircraft options turned off and for some reason the static aircraft are still there. Checked all other ones like Gillespie, Montgomery but they were free from them. Might there be a small error for Ramona? I tried to enable and then disable but still visible for some reason.

Built on default assets though. Only like 80 kb download. Good for some, personally I only fly custom building airports.

Very nice and interesting thred. I too hold a PPL license here in Sweden. I have not been flying for years and it boils down to a few things. For one thing it has become very expensive as we all know and I cant really justify the price anymore. Second thing is location. With Sweden politically moving left and our ”Environment party” getting more and more power Swedish aviation is getting less love for obvious reasons. I have to travel far just to find an airport. This is ironic because I live walking distance from Stockholm Bromma airport but they threw out general aviation years ago. Third thing is geographics. Sweden is flat (although it has many beautiful lakes) if I can pick any location in the world to fly in FS2024 like Socal with beautiful San Diego I much prefer that. Simulator realism. Lets face it FS2024 has come a long way. Throw in Say Intention ATC, Navigraph, Cows DA40 and a custom DA40 hardware instrument panel and some force feedback gear like Moza AB9 its darn realistic. So all in all very happy although sometimes I miss sitting up there in the real PA28 feeling the weather. Perhaps a DOF reality it next on the wishlist 😄

I have not actually shared any profiles as of yet. Working on your Montgomery now with a profile with no no static aircraft enabled so of course wont be of much value to anyone using it but I will be happy to share it 😄. More parking spots more real world FBO names etc etc. Also completed one for Brown but it looks a little strange now with aircraft stacking up on top of each other. AI + static but nice with Transient parking, Customs parking, First Flight corp FBO and many many more parking spots as per real world. Actually started one in preparation for Verticalsims KSNA but its a huge task. It may seem east with Clay Lacy FBO on one side and ACI South and ACI North on the other but there are so many flight schools and special stuff 😄

Vince, A small thing :) I checked your Taxi Tuner profiles, for example KMYF. I see you use the same "Name" for several spawn points like "West G.A Parking". Each Name needs to be an individual number or text. Like Stand 1, Stand 2 or GA1, GA2 or even 1, 2, 3 etc. I asked specifically about this on the Taxi Tuner section of their Discord. "Terminal" of course can be the same for several spots. And a little wish :) Sincerely hope to see a Brown Field static aircraft free options at some point in time.

Well for one its not for FS2024 and has not been updated in years. Hate to be critical also, (especially for freeware) but I have seen better airports and I leave it at that (although to be fair its 5 years old) 😄 I am sure you could make it shine with you attention to detail. Great little VFR trips also open up from your other fields. It differs a bit also from other airfields with that altitude and beautuful mountain views. Just a suggestion 😂

Hey Vince, from one thing to another. No plans to do L35 Big Bear? Lovely scenic place really.

Still the best we have though. Especially for VFR. Beyond ATCs VFR feels like its in a very early stage, Just the voices is like night and day compared to S.I in my opinion. Did a transit over LAX using the non clearance required ”Special Flight rules area transit” VFR and Torrance tower even reminded me to squawk 1701 and communicate on the open frequency before leaving their class D. That is realism! Small things where I remind myself that this is why I put up with the monthly fee 😄 Then again, some stuff are still very much non immersive with SI. I agree. Like when calling a class D airport like 10 miles out and almost immediately getting a cleared to land not having even entered their airspace yet. And its not because the airfield is empty because from late in the approach I see several aircraft waiting for takeoff. Then why clar me to land so early.
