  1. Hey Vincent you are a fello San Diego flying enthusiast like myself 😄 and you use S.I as well. If you find some time can you try a VFR flight in this red area on an altitude that is between Class Bravo airspace for example 3500 feet. I always find ATC tells me to copy a phone number for airspace violation and I am doing nothing wrong. I am not sure they have the aispace correct here. Airspace by the coast above the mormon temple Class B between 32/18 and 100/68. cant add pictures for some reason on avsim forum 😄
  2. Guys, dont forget that the amount of traffic generated only in part is determined on the slider setting. That slider value is a % of how many GA parking spots you have in the T.T file (Say Intentions version of the old AFCAD). For every airport there is a default version until a community member have updated an airport and the best one SI use as a global default for everone but you can pick whichever version you like. You can create your own airport as well and add a completely realistic environment with all real world spots if you want. Time consuming, yes but well wort it. With T.T you can also assign airlines to specific gates, correct taxiways, holding points etc. You can even have taxiways with just one direction of taxi allowed just like some taxiways in real life.
  3. Happy we have an option now. With or without static aircraft and easy to switch between the two so everyone should be satisfied. Good times :) I Have brought the issue of static aircraft or not in countless forum topics over the years (since the FSX days really) and the overall opinion is almost always about half for and half against so all good :)
  4. If you see Flight Simming as a real hobby it is not so expesive in my opinion 😄Consider golf or any other sport really and compare cost per hour.
  5. I make my own T.T profiles for all airports I use (often by cloning a good public one). That way I can have it exactly like I want it. What you can do is to clone EdgeCase version and just add whatever you like to it in the form of special locations that ground and tower should be aware off. I add specific locations like Transient parkings and other locations both for each individual parking spot (on the option for Terminal data section of each parking) as well as add a location spot for it on the actual map.
  6. I use SayIntentions. It gives a lot of AI GA traffic. Perhaps not as mush at having static aircraft on but to me enough. The volume of GA AI generated is determined by how many GA parking spots the TaxiTuner file has. TaxiTuner is a S.I product much like AFCAD back in the day where you control taxiways, parkings etc. The more spots, the more AI 😄
  7. Matter of opinion I guess. I rather have less traffic and know that the ones there are for real. Machines that will actually move and interact with you and interact with ATC at some point than a crowded airport with ”pictures” of aircraft. But in any case the option is now there and I couldnt be happier 😉
  8. Finally a no static option for Gillespie, one more of your San Diego fields where we can have away with those static aircraft. Hurray and thank you 🎉🎈
  9. when you update to v4 can you have a look at the east transient parking. There is an extremely low quality car parken almost right on the taxi line. Not only does it block taxi but darn does it detract from the immersion. Can it be removed? 😁 The times I have noticed it its white but I dont know if default assets change. Default vehicles are ugly though.
  10. Looks great Vincent, KSEE my virtual home base and where I store my Cows DA40 and DA42 :) A huge thank you for your continuous efforts with the San Diego airfields. Your work brings a lot of extra joy to my flight sim hobby for sure. Hard to imagine when my dad introduced me to Microsoft Flight Simulator some 37 years ago when this 13 year old guy was so amazed flying back and forth between Meigs Field and O'hare in Chicago, that MSFS would look this good so many years later. San Diego especially being a beautiful city as it is in real life and with all the nice TIN city detail in MSFS, your airports thrown in the mix and a little Say Intentions ATC. Hard to complain really :)
  11. Yes I also only fly GA. Will this at all be for me? Competition has VRPs for leaving and entering control zones for example. How will you cater for us non jet/IFR pilots?
  12. Yes mostly I select an area I want to fly over for a long time (often one with many pay and or free custom airports), for example San Diego or westen Norway. I purchase all payware of interest plus download any nice freeware and always stick to those, again no default airports. I then create myself a Taxi Tuned airport by cloning someone elses. 95% of the times I want to make corrections regardless how good the profile is. Always something that could be improved. More Small GA parkings, different Apron names or whatever. In other words. I customize every single airport in Taxi Tuner myself and save them and set ”use as my default”. Its about 5-6 hours work and then I can enjoy the area fully. Also for Europe I ask on the SI Discord if they can add VRPs so flying in and out if control zones (CTR) will be more realistic. Of course this is Europe primarely.
  13. As for the fact that everyone sets the threshold for ones immersion I fully agree with you Vincent, but correct airport buildings would be 100s of times more important than taxi signs for me. Thats my level of immersion and why I have not flown into a default airport in so many years. Seeing the same ugly tower or generic hangars, terrible and more terrible. I so much appreciate all community effort both pay and free that helps break that immersion killer and make our hobby better.
  14. Yes Say Intentions is the key here. Honestly best addon I have after 35 years with this hobby. Expensive, yes but worth it also yes 😁
  15. Wow, happy to hear the .bat coming to KSEE. Finally away with the static aircraft 😁 The taxiway signs I personally could not care generic or custom but I guess it would make some sort of difference I assume visually?
  16. Will the no static option find its way to your Gillespie, Montgomery, Brown Field, Fallbrook and Bob Maxwell at some point? Also could you consider French Valley. San Diego area is really startng to be fully covered with nice airports thanks to you man :)
  17. Very nice. Its really true as you say. Every other airport in Hawaii has a good payware option in MSFS except Upolu. Perhaps Hilo as well but still. Great that you will make a good Upolu. Look forward to it
  18. Agree love the toggle to remove static aircraft!
  19. Do i dare hope your other airports will follow along with this no static aircraft option eventually?
  20. Yes I created my own SI profile for Ramona with Taxi Tuner. Love the fact you can name individual places at the airport like ”Signature hangar”. ATC will then know the place when you request to taxi to or from it. No more simple Norrh, South, East or West parking
  21. With all nice new features the one that excites me the most is the option to finally be able to remove static aircraft. A great step for all of us using S.I. Does it include all the static aircraft. Am off on vacation so I cant try yet. Thankd
  22. Nice, a payware KSMX. I am really interested to know who that developer is! 😁 In any case, your Paso Robles, the San Luis Obispo payware, the unannounced KSMX and the free L52 from vbazillio. The region will be a VFR heaven especially with Say Intentions.
  23. Good stuff. Love flying in wine country. If you ever find time in the future please have a look at Santa Maria SMX. Low and slow in this area with your great airports.
  24. I was a tester some time ago. How about VRP for VFR. As a GA flyer the VFR procedures is mostly what I care for. I understand getting VRP data for all of Europe can be a challenge. One of your competitors use the community as a strenght to build such things gradually and an external program TaxiTuner where users can build correct airports (taxiways, gates, hold short etc much like AFCAD back in the day) to share with the community or not. This because airports both payware and freeware can be a mess as we all know 😁
  25. Why is that for you to decide. Get the information or dont. I am not involved with VoxATC but I think your comments are very negative and demanding.
