Hey Guys, Just released this one. Being an ex-Navy guy, I figiured I needed to get one out, and I wanted to do the older version of the C-40 when she wore "Stars-n-Bars". Sadly the world has made the Navy strip off all military markings as they are just a target, but I thought it really set her apart from the average 737. 🙂 I did the "Spirit of New York City" in honor of 9/11....I may paint more "cities" as time goes on. You can get her by clicking the link in my sig. I like how she turned out....just sad we don't have a real combi model so I had to use the Passenger model and paint on the Cargo door. The other way...using the Cargo model and painting fake windows on...just looked horrible, so we can't open the Cargo door...but she looks authentic this way.

Hey all, So I have played FSX for a couple months now, and I am decent at it, but not good enough to join or create like a virtual navy squadron, which is my goal. So I'm trying to form a flight training plan for myself. I have the planes, the IRIS T-6 Texan II and the Dino Cattaneo T-45 Goshawk. I was just wondering like what the schedule would be, like what flights I do which things, and how many flights until the next step. Thanks, Vapor

Its been a while since my Naval career ended, seeing someone flying over the graveyard at Davis Month. in Tucson, Az in a recent post here made me recall that I saw an actual helo that I worked on in the Navy, in Google maps in 3d mode. Here is "723"....a G model in our squadron that I crawled all over in a vain attempt to keep her airworthy when she flew with us, hehe. Here is her sister ship I worked on when I was station in the Persian Gulf back in '85. That is me on the end. Here is 723 in the sim.... Amazing.

I am flying the Carenado T34B in FSX with Acceleration trying to use the Navy power settings. The problem is that airspeed is too high using the Navy specified manifold pressure and prop settings. For instance, with prop at 2000 rpm and MAP at 23", the airspeed (trimmed for level flight at 1000') is about 135-140 knots rather than 120 knots as anticipated. At 90 knots on approach with gear down, the prescribed MAP will accelerate the aircraft to 105 knots, requiring MAP to be reduced from the Navy specified value to 2-3" less to maintain the desired airspeed. My question is how to adjust .cfg settings to obtain the desired airspeed for the specified MAP and prop? I could increase drag which seems incorrect, or maybe adjust rpm efficiency. Those were the only settings I saw that might match MAP to trimmed airspeed. If you have suggestions as to how to make this adjustment, I would like your ideas. As purchased, the aircraft is a bit "lively" in elevators and ailerons. I have turned down their efficiencies to make the aircraft fly a bit more like I remember it--fairly well balanced but still able to do basic acrobatic maneuvers. I added John Detrick's VT-1 Navy repaint and edited the 2D gauges to better match the Navy instrument panel. Once I get the flight dynamics tuned a bit, it will fly like the original trainer. If you have a well tuned T34B, I would appreciate getting a copy of your .cfg settings.
