I've spent the last month tweaking and optimising FSX after trying the DX10 shader mods and am finally very happy with the results. I've decided to take a virtual tour of the Greek Islands in my JF PA28 Warrior. I plan to do a similar "real life" tour in a couple of years so it was a good excuse to try the journey in the flight sim first. No FMCs, no autopilots, no GPS. Just maps, compass and a good supply of pens were used in the making of these screenshots. Believe me it's much more fun that way Scenery is courtesy of UTX Europe and extra details downloaded from various freeware authors from the excellent http://www.freewares...ry.com/fsx.html website. Weather/water textures by REX E. Weather engine by FSrealWX lite - a brilliant and FREE weather engine from http://www.hanse-cod...?page=self&id=1 PA28 Warrior by Just Flight Flying Club X series. Frames were locked at 30fps. No Nvidia Inspector just the inbuilt FSX settings. I kept it simple and it's working great for me now. I can max out everything and finally have a smooth FS experience! First leg of my trip is from Sitia on the island of Crete to Karpathos. Real time weather was a bit iffy today. Strong winds from the NW at 20-30kts with cloud for most of the journey at around 2500-3000 ft. Hope you like the pix. I'll post some prettier ones when the weather is better!

This idea, combined with the knowledge of the experts at HSA, found the best way to materialize. Serifos (Aegean Sea),Elafonisos (Ionian Sea),Atokos (Ionian Sea),Ericousa (Ionian Sea),Samothraki (South Aegean Sea),Psara (Aegean Sea),Fournoi (Aegean Sea-Ikaria) have been designed in such a way, that each of these sceneries carries the locality and ambience of each area. We were not confined in just a small part of the area, like usually done in other seaplane sceneries worldwide, but we wanted to attribute just a little bit more in each area. View Video

So as the cold autumn weather sets in around here, I thought about doing some island hopping around the many small islands of Greece in the JS41. I was looking to add more realism to the adventure by flying in the livery of a real world operator, but alas was unable to find one. Could one of you please point me in the direction for a livery of Sky Express (ICAO: SEH) or at least a greek operator? If one of our talented repainters would decide to make such a livery, that would be most appreciated, too. Thank you in advance for any help Regards

My little tribute to Stavros Palatsidis and his excellent new Olympic livery for Carenado Dornier Do228.
