Hi!Well, I guess it's no dream :-hah THEY ARE DOEING THE 747-400!Lefteris already showed pictures at the flightsim - conference in germany. Have a look at this post here (in german..): http://www.wcm.at/forum/showthread.php?threadid=116592Looking forward to it!regards,Joerg

Boeing 747-400Bit of a dinosaur now isn't it?How about something more futuristic than the 747? Many of the bigger airlines (BA for example) are dumping them for A340's or 777's.A PMDG A340 would be fantastic but I guess that isn't a possibility;-)RegardsAdam Moore

Sigh, another Boeing ...744 is FS is getting boring, but not everyone is Aerowinx PS 1 user :). But anyway, can understand this decision. It's popular and if PMDG has the Boeing display technology already and Boeing is better regarding ressources for them.Who does a really sophisticated A330 or MD-11 in P(recision)MDG quality ? Nothing in sight...Mike

Well with the level of detail that's put into the 737, you can imagine a FS version that might just catch PS1! PS1 is GREAT but is not very nice for us simmers to look at, it's more a Aerosim type training CBT than a true desktop simulator, can you imagine one done right with FS9's scenery to look at? I can ;)[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg

Randy, yes, sure. But it's a personal thing. If you dealt with and mastered PS1 (I was betatester of the first PS1 version) , then the 744 in FS is kinda boring.I would like to see a challenge e.g. to master an A330 with really high PMDG fidelity. Or an MD-11 with it's unique systems and operation. But the poor MD-11 is not very popular (don't know the english word, we say "Mauerbl

A 744 would be the best thing I could imagine.

I must say that I am disappointed. I was really hoping for the 757. I guess we will continue to NOT HAVE a good 757 simulated in FS for another few years.Well, PMDG, that's your choice. I wish you all success with it.Hopefully, maybe 10 years from now, when you decide to do vintage aircraft, then you'll do the 757.Well, I guess its back to the PICV2 panel slaved to a 757 model for me.

A 747-400 by PMDG - THIS IS FANTASTIC !!!! :-) When can we expect to see more info......Alex

Yawn zzzzz lolI suppose you could start the PMDG Antique Aircraft Division if you are really going ahead with a Boeing 747-400...Not exactly cutting-edge and there are hundreds of freebie 744's and a few payware ones getting extremely long in the tooth.Something new please - how about trying the A380:-))))CheersAdam Moore

That's good to hear.Adam Moore

You're probably right about their intentions (so I hope :-) )PS1 had it's time. It *** STILL *** is a wonderful simulator, but since Hardy discontinued it's development I am afraid that a PMDG 744 would push a bunch of PS1 users to the fs9 platform. One thing that is more than indicative of such a success is the amount of efforts that PS1 users put into a MSFS port for the "out-of-windshield" views. They desperately want it, but until now PSS's 744 was our single & only alternative, and it is light-years away from being a realistic 744 sim...

Thanks Pete,While a PMDG 744 would surely be a sight to behold, I'm still rooting for either 777 or MD-11.Best,Martijn
