March 28, 200422 yr "8) Updated overhead panel to make it "undockable" for users of multiple monitors."Hi,I have been able to "undock" the overhead for some time now. I will be interested to see what the update is.I currently access it by going into VC then clicking "Views" on the toolbar then "instrument panel" then "overhead panel". Drag the overhead to my preferred monitor and return to 2D or stay in VC.RegardsGlenn
April 1, 200422 yr Someone may have already asked this but why can't you put flexing wings in these models? They would be ten times better.
April 1, 200422 yr It's been discussed a few times, the 737 NG does have wings that flex but they're not as noticeable as say the 747 and 777 or the A330/340 aircraft. PMDG is far enough along in development of the model that, I would guess, it would be too much of a hassle to go in and edit the model and it would delay the plane a good deal longer. I do believe they're looking into it for the new 747-400 they're working on. So again, I really dont think it's that big a deal on the 737NG and you certainly won't notice it much with or without the featureJason
April 1, 200422 yr The Wing Flex on the NGs is quite noticable. However, we're at the stage where major changes to the model can't be made. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
April 2, 200422 yr You guys had better STOP with this updating-your-customers nonesense, because you are making *EVERY OTHER* flightsim vendor look like second-rate outfits.THANK YOU for keeping us up to date on the progress, as well as your candor in explaining what is being added, what isn't, and why.If only my car dealership was as good to work with...-Greg
April 3, 200422 yr How do you know it's not already in the 800-900? :-)[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg Randy J Smith
April 3, 200422 yr Can't wait for the big day, although I really hope I'm not away on two weeks vacation when it's announced or I'll miss the discount.
April 3, 200422 yr Hello all, This is my first post here as I am a proud new owner of the PMDG 600/700, perhaps I will learn enough to fly it online soon :-). I am using FS2002Pro and I am given to understand the new 800/900 will only be FS9 compatable? If that is true will buying it and installing gain me anything in FS8?
April 6, 200422 yr >Randy thanks for information...>>how do you "reactivate" the FMC? do you have to save the>situation first or does it autosave your current situation (ie>FL370 enroute etc)>>thanks>>adam mooreHi allThis is my first post as I have only recently downloaded the aircraft, so apologies if this has already been dealt with elsewhere in the forum. If I save a flight part way through, when I reload it, how can I get the FMC back into sync? Thanks Mike Turner
April 6, 200422 yr Rich,The install of the 738/9 will update the 736/7 install. :) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
April 7, 200422 yr Can't figure out what all the excitement is about.Wing go up, wing go down.http://members.ozemail.com.au/~b744er/737NG/WingBending.jpgIf you're flying the plane looking over your left/right shoulder for most of the flight... make sure your PMDG TCAS is working ;-)Cheers.Ian.
April 8, 200422 yr Pardon me for being the fly in the ointment.I just purchased the PMDG 736/7 package and I feel a little ripped off.For the money I paid, this package falls short (compared to others) on a few things notably the FMC...With this upgrade and enhanced FMC I would assume my money would be justified - but in actual fact I have to spend MORE money?I like your product - I really do.But I suggest you check you pricing strategy and give us PMDG owners very, very good price on this upgrade. You've won my wallet - but you haven't yet won my heart.
