How does the FMC fall short?

You are certainly entitled to your thoughts. I'm just curious which aspects of the FMC in particular you are referring to that fall short of other vendors? With the exception of PIC in older versions of FS, I think this is one of the best FMCs modelled.Just curious. Take care!

HiCan anyone from PMDG confirm that nothing on th -800/900 will work in Fs2002 ?.SincerlyPeter

Peter-Its designed with FS2004 in mind. Some things *may* work, but chances are it will crash your system etc.

hmm, sad to hear.the "only" thing I am really interested in is the aircraft and TCAS.When you say my system will most likely crash, is it then FS or WIN aswell ?.Peter

Wow...such animousity...Well fellas- Yes, I'm a PIC767 owner so 'yes' perhaps my bar is higher than others...for starters - how about making all those 'grayed-out' options in the FMC actually work...How about modelling the pneumatics accurately with a pressure dial that actually shows the proper pressure - or should I be able to start the left engine with the air conditioning on?However, I'm not about to become the subject of a witch-hunt for the ra-ra-PMDGisTheBest mob - so I'll just mourn my spent dosh privately.Obviously PMDG can do no wrong and I have spit on the sacred temple...excuse me while I go lash myself with reeds.Devon Leslie

Hi Devon,I re-read the posts that followed yours, and I really didn't see any animosity towards you. Most of us are truly interested in what you think falls short of other vendors.I have seen a lot of comments like this come and go, and 75% of the time they are caused by people not knowing the airplane and its systems. So, I was looking to see if there was a support issue involved.
