September 29, 200817 yr >great news!>>just one small question. i want to pick up my lovely md11 in>the states and then fly it here to germany. i know you guys>are from different places, but what would you call your "home>base" or the home airport of pmdg? in the shop it says>something about Sparks, Nevada. So would then be rheno/Tahoe>International the right airport to start the first delivery>flight?>>regards,>>chrjs>(christopher volle) I can answer this one. The major Airport here is in fact Reno Tahoe International. KRNO. The east side of the airport bumps up against the city of Sparks. The air race airport is Reno-Stead (4SD), somehow the Air Force managed to get a KC-10 in and out of there this year at the races but KRNO is the way to go. Snowfalcon13 KRTS Reno, NV. September 30, 200817 yr Thanks for the update Robert.. Am waiting for the FS9 release.. Will be as patient as humanly possible.. For me that is really saying something.. September 30, 200817 yr Author Commercial Member Gents-And oh what a landing THAT was... I think they may have set off the seismology lab at University Nevada Reno...The terrain topology approaching 14 is visually tricky because you wind up VERY low over terrain when lining up on a 5 mile final- but the ground then drops out beneath you. Many pilots get fooled by this and climb- as this DC-10 crew seemed to do.THen they tried to save the high approach- and pounded down the approach end of 14 so hard that we'll probably have to revise the Jepp Chart to show 1' less TDZE. :-pAnd I won't even get into the 3 bounces on the nose gear... OUCH. Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com

October 1, 200817 yr Hi Robert, So many question are getting asked by all of us waiting for the MD11 and manuals and such. I have yet another question I asked about it before a few months ago. Anyways do you guys any news on the Reapaint kit?Thank YouCapt. Eric Wade Joneswww.usairwaysva.orghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/1900driver.jpg Eric Wade Jones
October 1, 200817 yr It's exciting that the MD-11 release is now tantalisingly close. I've been looking forward to this more than another other FS add-on. The main reason being the challenge of a very different flightdeck philosophy to Boeing and Airbus. The MD-11 is truly unique in it's concept. Something new and different to learn and get immersed in.Kevin

October 3, 200817 yr >>The MD-11 is truly unique in it's concept. Something new>and>>different to learn and get immersed in.>>You won't be disappointed. :)Mike,I don't doubt that for a second. I've been lucky enough to fly many different airliner simulators (Boeing, Airbus, Douglas and Fokker), so with most MSFS addons I know the ropes. I've never had the good fortune to fly an MD-11 sim, so in this case I'll be starting from scratch. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas, especially now I have a computer which can run complex add-ons in FSX!Kevin
October 3, 200817 yr I feel the same way you do, now that i have a system that can run it as well.Thank YouCapt. Eric Wade Joneswww.usairwaysva.orghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/1900driver.jpg Eric Wade Jones
