March 11, 200719 yr Moderator Hi folks. I have been using the website,http://www.naco.faa.gov/index.asp?xml=naco/online/d_tpp , to download SIDS, STARS, and ILS approach plates. This is a free site and has come in handy when I plan my routes. However, I need to find a site where I can get the same information for airports not in the US. I know that Jeppesen has payware simcharts, but I would like to see if anyone has any links to other sites like the one I listed above where I can find this stuff for free or at a discount? Thanks in advance.Sean Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
March 11, 200719 yr Google is your best friend. However start here:http://usa-w.vatsim.net/charts/I know the link says USA, but it provides other links..Lee
March 11, 200719 yr Have a look here: http://www2.navigraph.com/www/default.aspWhile they are not free however the cost is minimal and the selection is excellent.Gary
March 11, 200719 yr Author Moderator Thanks Gary and Lee for the links. I checked them out. I was surprised that they all weren't in the same format as the US ones. I had never seen foreign charts before and for some reason I thought they would look just like the US charts. Thanks again. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
March 11, 200719 yr You can download European charts for free from Eurocontrol.Create a login ID and start to download:http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/publicuser/...ic/pu/login.jsp Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
March 11, 200719 yr I think the difference is because many non-US authorities are now following ICAO standards for their charts. There are still difference but not a great as with US charts. Gerry Howard
March 12, 200719 yr Google will be your best friend... if you know how to ask "him". But I prefer to enter to the VATSIM/IVAO division of the country i'm searching charts for. For Colombia, I recommend www.colatc.org (the Colombian Vatsim division), for the US, someone already said to enter Vatsim-USA.Hope this helpsBest regards from ColombiaLuis Miguel Best regards,Luis Hernández Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. March 12, 200719 yr I know a website that has "Sectionals" for North America (mainly the US). Does anybody know whether such a thing is available for Europe. ?Thanks Barry
March 12, 200719 yr Barry, have a look at : http://www.aeroplanner.com/index.cfmI bought a subscription for 'sim charts', and use them (downloaded and viewed with a second computer with a free chart image program available on the site), but they are WAC charts, not true sectionals. Some are very hard to read as well. But worth the 'peek' perhaps....you can view them on-line before purchasing a subscription, or buying them per chart. You can also buy a 'more advanced' subscription, which will allow you to download higher resolution charts, but I didn't bite on that.
