What is the best NVIDIA driver for FSX

Featured Replies

As the topic says, what is the best proven driver version for fsx that improves performance but is not buggy? Is there a generally accepted one? I have 275 GTX with 182.42 driver.

Is there a generally accepted one?
I doubt such a beast exists, but I'm still on 175.16 and it is rock solid in FSX.

i had loaded the new 185.85 driver from Nvidia and i had video issues with it right after. i use a Matrox TH2Go and for some reason Nvidia did not want to play nice with it. i went back tot he 182 drivers and all is well again.

Same here, went back to 182.50, with 185.85, my gauges would stop working has soon as i reached runway for take off ?! :(Alain

The 185.50 drivers gave me stutters and audio chop no problem with 182 drivers.

I've stuck with the 182.50's which are very solid. The 185's introduced alot of bugs. The "generally accepted one" is the one that works best for you.

I am running 182.50 Everything good except no progressive taxi markers.

I'm so glad I came across this thread. I've been running 169.25 drivers for a long time; each time I tried another driver I had serious problems. Then I follow your recommendation for the 182.50 and WOW!...FSX has never looked so good! I've picked up a few frames and the tearing is totally gone. Thanks for your help guys! :( Curt
