ok thankyou all for the replies i had no idea that you could load a flight plan from fsbuild into fs9 and it would routw it out etc. i will try this when i get home. =) kiss's for you alland another question. are there any downlaods so that you can change some of the atcs accents etc. liek have german or french accents when flying form / into germany france etc. ?
I have not seen anything which would change "accents" as you move from country to country but the EditVoicepack program will allow the speech to be changed from the US Standard to European standard - example instead of being directed to a "gate" you would be directed to a "stand".You can get EVP here:http://www.editvoicepack.com/Additionally EVP can be used to add correct callsigns etc. And by the way, it is free. :(
Multi-Crew Experience interacts with the default ATC and with the AI aircraft. It too is not perfect, but I'm working with it. They give you a trial period of the full program.http://www.multicrewxp.com/Buy.htmlJim D.
I looked at the demo video... the concept is fantastic, voices are more than horrible. For me, that's a big no-no.

Certainlt from the point of view of accents and voices PFE and FDC are the best add-ons available. The only way to get close to a 100% experience is via vatsim. But would not take into account changing accents as one passes from one country to another. PFE tries to do that.Vololiberista

That's exactly what I think always when it comes to discussing the MFS ATC. Especially in the time when Internet services are so well available. Especialy that people who take part in such discussions are ones who dislike the default ATC and thus want and search for reality in that aspect. Why making small jumps around instead of making one giant leap into the real human factor*? :( * - sorry, Neil.

The "voices" are MS default, but one can purchase voices, really only need one, to make it more realistic. None of the other ATC programs have great voices either.Jim D.
I don't really understand your point. It might not be exactly like the real thing, but it works well and I think to say it "sucks" is a bit excessive for it is an extremely complicated and clever feature of Flight Simulator. Most annoyances are caused by users who do not navigate themselves properly.John
Take it from me as a real pilot FS ATC "sucks" as you say 1000^1000%!!!!Vololiberista

I would also declare that RC and Vatsim "sucks." Each of these options, MSFS, RC and Vatsim has their big wide holes. With RC, until it is integrated with the AI traffic, it "sucks." But you get some more detail in how your player aircraft is handled by your personal ATC. Until Vatsim covers the entire world, it "sucks." But you get to talk to a human controller where there is one. Until MSFS can actively separate traffic, it "sucks." But it is fully integrated into the FS "world" where it controls the AI traffic and spans the entire world. So the one that works best is the one that fits the kind of set up and kind of flying you like to do with the MSFS. If you have set up a world full of AI and tons of scenery addons all over the world and like to go from one far spot to another, then the MSFS ATC is best for enjoying the fruits of all that labor. If you don't have tons of AI set up, then your player aircraft can be but the one plane in the world, then RC or Vatsim would be more enjoyable.

Yes they are, but then these are scripted, in other words, a script is recorded and played back. Now I don't know how much variation is provided, or does one push a key and receive the same message over and over? Each add-on has its' +'s and -'s, so each person must look at what works for them. If you don't like a program, you don't have to use it, but don't condemn it as it fits someone else just fine. MCE integrates with the default ATC and it works OK for me, not perfect, but acceptable. And as I said, for a few dollars you can purchase a voice that is more realistic. I tried another app, didn't care for it, removed it but did not knock it. End of story.Jim D.

Sorry, but this is a "video" of add-on inter-crew communication, check lists etc. It does not demonstrate ATC communication, the subject of this discussion.John

Wrong if you listen to it long enough!! It is a combination of two programmes cabin check lists etc plus ATC and it is one of four videos demonstration the interaction of both programmes!!Vololiberista

Like I commented before, each one must analyze each of the programs for himself and decide. I did not see nor hear any interaction with the AI aircraft as I have quite a number of WOAI addons, ATC voices were also mechanical, not natural. Who is speaking as the captain, you as the pilot or is it the program? So stick to what works for you, and if it doesn't, look elsewhere. No anger needed here.Jim D.[EDIT[ Looked again at Proflight Emmulator and see that the program handles all communication. What I like about MCE is that you personally speak to ATC or can have the copilot do so. Works with small aircraft where there is no CP or with larger craft where you would or would like to add a CP. Again, it isn't perfect but it is my choice for now.

I'm not going to sit through nearly ten minutes-worth again, so I'll take your word for it. I certainly didn't notice it and in one viewing it looked to me as if the aircraft taxied out without permission. The voices I hear sound like pre-recorded files made by Dave March and Graham Jackson, with Dave's wife as Flight Attendant plus a lady that seems to have got on the wrong plane crooning in Graham's ear to say that all passengers are aboard.I don't question that it is an excellent piece of software, but I don't think it does what is being asked for in this thread.John
