October 17, 200916 yr I've wanted a C-17 for a long time but not in the state that this payware is in for the given price. What do you think will happen to the price when everything is added to the product? $100-120 USD? Keith Guillory
October 17, 200916 yr I've been burned too many times by people that promise a VC in a later patch. Leonardo's one for the MD-80 took forever and it turned out looking like garbage. Digital Aviation's Fokker VC is nowhere in sight. And these people want $58 for a model and sounds? They are out of their minds. -Alex
October 17, 200916 yr So they pay you $68 to be a beta tester..? Seems like a fair exchange for the time trouble and effort. :( If it's anything else it's bordering on fraud.
October 18, 200916 yr Alphasim products are cute, fun and worth about 10 bucks generally. Pass on anything from them that costs more than that. Just mho.
October 18, 200916 yr Commercial Member I am very curios to know if they have sold a single one. In all honesty if this was available as a file-share (which I am sure it must be somewhere) I would not bother... Konrad

Well, no way. They first go and do god knows how many models, and they keep diverting the attention until people will hopefully just forget. Right now, I feel somewhat stupid. I have yet to fly the plane. Here I was, thinking there'd be finally a quality Fokker 70/100 simulation with a VC. Turns out I could have stayed with the Project Fokker aircraft... October 18, 200916 yr Author Well looks like no one has bought alphasims c-17 so far. Glad I asked first be4 taking the plunge. UKMIL's site suggests that only members can DL their C-17 and you must join a club membership to DL it. Does anyone know if this applies only to the beta version? Will they finally release the final version as a true freeware to the FS community or will we have to pay the membership fee to be able to DL the final version?Alex Chung

October 23, 200916 yr I just picked up the UKMIL one instead. The exterior design is great for me. My 2D panel needs a major adjustment to the viewpoint. Instead of a clear view down towards the ground, I have a viewpoint that is about 45 degrees to the sky. I will hold off on buying the ALphasim version for a while. Keith Guillory
October 23, 200916 yr Buy the way: for DAFokker buyers, I have good news: the VC seems to be really getting under way now. It was demoed at Paderborn's FS convention, and the VC seemed to be great. Florian stated that the moment he fixes some Windows 7 issue with the VC, he'd post screenshots of it. I think between one to two weeks should be a good enough estimation of when we can expect these screenshots. Of course, in the past it's always been straight from the mouth of DA and not someone else, but I still feel jaded and cynical on that one. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong, as a good VC could make the DA Fokker one of the best, if not the best RJ's available. The Wilco 170/90's are good too, but I just have a hard time considering them an RJ anymore---more like a 737. Eric Szczesniak
