August 18, 201015 yr Well I got this about 6 weeks ago, and on loading it up for the first time, and fumbling for switches whilst I read the manual, I thought, errrr ..... should I really have bought this, I am after all, a confirmed 2D cockpit freak.Well to cut a long story short, after setting up some custom camera views so I can, at the press of a key see all the bits I'm interested in and at a size my old eyes can read (engine instruments, cap panel etc), I am currently not flying anything else other than my J41. It's nice to be able to plan and complete a realistic flight in an hour or so (I'm currently working my way through the Eastern Airways timetable :( ) It's typically PMDG, which means great systems modelling, and its fun to fly, because you have to fly it, or at least plan your climb and descents properly. Dare I say it, in many ways its as good as or maybe better than the 747X which up till now has been my personal gold standard for add-ons. Oh and one thing, sorry guys but them passengers are just plain scarey... what penitentiary did they break out from? :( Looking forward to future new releases. Regards Mike Martin
December 10, 201114 yr Dear Support,I my humble wish for christmas:Please it is possible to include a 2d-Panel for the overheadpanel. This really nice birdis hard to use with a new view (3d VC-Panel) on my multimonitor, cause to framerate-drop.I think today multimonitor or touchscreens are cheap enough to use them with fsx and manysimmer do so. And then it is sad, that someone can not use his full equipement. Please include a 2d-Panel for the overhead. The 737NGX has it from scratch??!!.1000nd thanks.YoursThomas Groh

December 10, 201114 yr Hi,thanks. Maybee I had the wrong idea. I mean I need a panel like the fms. I amable to undock and put it on an other screen without Fps-lost. I can not do thiswitht the overhead, because there is no panel to undock. I can only generatea new view and undock this. But then I have a huge FPS-lost.I wish it is possible to implement an overheadpanel like the fms for example touse multimonitor easier.BestThomas Groh
December 11, 201114 yr My box version is arrived yesterday.Unfortunately I am not very satisfied. The machine has a very poor performance.Of all my machines, this is the worst !Where can I get 60FPS with LevelD on, I get 20FPS even with the J41 (Default Scenery!).And I know that I am not the only one complaining about poor frame rates.I've uninstalled the J41, because we do not need an update on well to hope.My System: Intel Core i7 950, X58Extreme, 8GB DDR3, GTX260, Win7x64Stephan Stephan

The JS41 has the second best VC cockpit on the market so I am not quite sure why you would use a something as old or basic as the LevelD to compare VC performance with? I would also ask why you don't find 20fps to be sufficient? This is FSX not a FPS (First person shooter). Paul Smith.
December 11, 201114 yr Moment please !20FPS is not a sufficient performance for me, sorry! The human eye processes images at 25FPS liquid only, anything else is unacceptable (for me)!I'm working for more than 2 years in FSX around, everything goes to tweak, I've done.So please don't tell me anything about a First Person Shooter !But i must correct myself well!I've installed the machine again, and suddenly everything goes! Now I have a performance that is comparable with the MD11!I will have to apologize for the hasty post. Now I am also very pleased with the J41.I do not know what was the mistake, from the folder before I even made a backup and Liveries I manually reinstalled. Now everything works perfectly!Thank you PMDG for the nice mashine, now I can try them in peace !Stephan Stephan
December 12, 201114 yr Well I've got my FS locked at 20ish FPS...The level d 767 VC has little in comparison to what the J41 has in terms of animations, textures, and features.Just because it's a smaller aircraft does not make it any less complex. But I really enjoy the j41. Best turboprop for FS out there bar-none. Well the DA Cheyenne is pretty close, as is the Majestic Dash. Patrick Houghton
December 12, 201114 yr I like it better than the boeing 737 ng! It has so much caracther to it! You wont regret it at all... Something is wrong with your setup. David
December 12, 201114 yr ... The human eye processes images at 25FPS ...Sorry, but that is simply not correct. If you are going to decide what is and is not acceptable to you based on the value of a number shown on the top left of the screen, you really should make the effort to understand what that number represents. As for how the eye works, let me give you a couple of hints; One, the absolute top end visual experiance you get in a quality cinema is delivered at only 24fps, and two, the eye does not see things in terms of 'frames'. December 19, 201114 yr Sorry, but that is simply not correct. If you are going to decide what is and is not acceptable to you based on the value of a number shown on the top left of the screen, you really should make the effort to understand what that number represents. As for how the eye works, let me give you a couple of hints; One, the absolute top end visual experiance you get in a quality cinema is delivered at only 24fps, and two, the eye does not see things in terms of 'frames'.As has been discussed numerous times over the years, 24FPS in video game is not comparable to 24FPS in motion video. To achieve the same effect in video games (pre rendered frames), you need 60FPS. (Incidentally, this is the speed at which full motion Level D type simulators run at, the like made by CAE etc)You can search the many topic posted about it or you can read just this one if you prefer:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/67913-performance-frame-rates-and-anatomical-biology/page__p__484188__hl__interlaced%20motion%20blur__fromsearch__1#entry484188 Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
December 20, 201114 yr I think the Jetstream 4100 is a lovely plane, but I wish I could work out why the spoilers will never visibly deploy after touchdown. They are armed and ready, the power is cut to idle, and the green spoiler light appears when I activate reverse prop pitch, but those spoilers never come up :( Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
January 4, 201214 yr I really like it. BUT. I really miss a 2d panel. I realize it is becoming a virtual panel world. I held off purchasing this product for a long time entirely because of a lack of a 2d panel. The B190 and the Boeing 737 have one. I have already had at least one CDT that seems related to constantly changing the views to find things. It is hard on my eyes. With my Caranado and Aerosoft products that also don't have a 2d panel I have spliced the panel config. and added one. I just can't believe it could be that expensive to include a 2d panel. My only dislike. Lee Stubblefield
