It is sophisticated. It is for pilots who have sim experience. For me, it is the best sim on the market.

The PMDG Jet Stream 41 has taken my flight sim hobby to an entirely new level. I love many of the a/c attributes but the flight model is simply superb - and I am fussy what I put in my hangar. Thank you PMDG for the sheer quality of the JS41. Bruce Bailey

I only flew 1 flight and was a convert! A team could develop the slickest plane every but it may end up being just that - a slick plane. The PMDG team took the J41 and made it an 'experience'. Thiings like the top-down situation and load chart complete with passengers really adds to the immersion factor. Kudos to all involved with this project.jja

I am really enjoying it, I love how it has made me think differently while flying in this geared turboprop rather than the usual turbofan jet liner (which I still love also). I also bought a scenery addon so I have something really nice to look at while I am not 35000+ feet in the sky in a jet liner.

Now that it is been out out for a while, how do you like the sim? I pre-ordered the boxed version and hope to get it by Xmas!Greg
I love it,it has so much "personality",tried it with fscrew and it's the best thing I have ever flown in fs.David Di Domizio

I do love it. In fact, given the limited amount of sim time I have in my life, I want to love it more. What I mean is, I think its a great bird. Fun to fly, some difficulty to manage, perfect for the short flights that I like to do. There are many features in the larger aircrafts that I don't use often, like failures, etc., because I don't have time to sit around and wait for the something to happen and can't leave them on when I'm chasing a toddler around. If they had that in the J41, I might not fly anything else ever again. Not a criticism of the product for what it is, but more a wish as to much more I would do with it. With that nit aside, I really love the bird. From what I've read, the 737NGX will be a study sim like the other heavies, so I would expect I would fly a fair number of hour long failure mode flights with that big guy once its up and running. But, if you don't love flying the J41, you probably need a different hobby.

It is the best plane i have in my hanger :-). Love the short flights i can do with it. And with Fs2Crew it's a hole new experience.

Also this plane is my absolute favourite, I think all stuff why has been said now. Only thing I miss is the holding function of the FMC. And random failures.. but if you have a look at the price, this is ok.Along with the A2A Stratocruiser this is the plane I've spent many many hours with and still every flight is satisfying.

I agree with missing a fuction to save the FMC Flight config ... but I disagree with the second part. I am a software product manager myself and saving and reading some xml data from a file does not cost even half a day of coding. Though I know that devlopers are driven by impossible deadlines and idiot sales people thinking in terms of profit quarters rather than acting in the best interest of the buyer. Absolutely annoying every time fsim decides to crash or you decide to quit for the day you need to reconfigure the same route. I would'nt have mind paying a couple of bucks more for that feature it could have speared me endless hours of frustrating re-configuration. Also the handbooks and tutorials are stuffed with information they are missing the essential red line for people to follow to get started. For the rest very nice work keep it up.

Yes, I agree. It's hard for me to get into any other aircraft. I especially like the interface with FsCrew that adds another level of fun to this great aircraft as well.CaptMacdonmcdaniel

@DHL558 Na I don't mean the saving of the state, I meant the Hold-Button. Would make life much easier when flying online. The flightplan itself can be safed and loaded anytime.. only thing is the VNAV which has to be set up new, and the PLAN-pages, but this is a 2-minutes-job.And FS2Crew is really really great on this aircraft!

Nah, it takes 20 seconds to set the VNAV and PLAN if You have already calculated the weight. I enter all data after engine1 start, while engine2 is starting.Cheers.rolleyes.gif

Well I'd better said "it's very fast to do". Maybe 1 minute with calculation. :( But I'm really interested what the SP will contain.. hopefully they finish this strange NGX-thing fast, to get working on the Jetstream SP2 and the Dash-8 LOL.gif
