I am assured by the lads at PMDG that it is their priority development right now, and should beat the NGX to market by a couple of weeks. It was pointed out that the J41 does not simulate icing on the cockpit's side windows, and it has been pointed out that the Woodpigeon does not suffer from icing on the side windows either. Will there be a 2D cockpit and will it be compatible with FS95?

I want a Version for FS4, because the Framerates are soooo good in FS4 nowadays

Sorry Bill, I think you might have misinterpreted what was said, starting with wings, not winglets. They may be small compared to a Boeing, but they are real wings and there are more of them. And you already know PMDGs stance on not doing it if it is not realistic enough, so what you took to mean weather prediction (better known as radar) was in fact, weather protection, otherwise known as a red umbrella. Now this has been agreed as optional and I believe that at this time, it is hoped that it will be included with the initial release, but if not, then it will probably be a low cost extra to follow when time and resources allow.

Could I request a red motorcycle helmet instead of a blue one? Would be nice to match the weather protection device. This plane is going to make the ngx, look like an ultralight

I distinctly remember them promising that any weather protection would be an airline specific option in the Configuration Mangler. No UK airline has ever flown the Woodpigeon with umbrellas so if it can't be deselected then I won't buy any more PMDG products, ever. I did come across the initial announcement though and it did indeed say that "weather radar was to be available or not hadn't yet been decided" so perhaps a problem with semantics there, or possibly just spelling. I am still expecting the version with winglets though, PMDG will go bust if they don't do that one, the Avmarket Simshop survey said so.

I've heard rumours that the initial release will be an external model only, VC and sounds aliased to the default Woodpigeon.Please, PMDG, confirm this isn't true.

I think the mentioned preview pictures are these:This diagram presented by Vin Scimone.They have also added some avionics it looks like in this pic.Not sure the plane type, but from looking at the shadow it can be seen a bit better.This one was a little blurry do to the speed, so had to clear it up some looking better in the image below.You can also see that they have infact thought of the Weather Protection, at least to a certain degree.As for the 2D and VC images, all I can currently find are these pics.

I am amazed that no-one has yet raised the question as to whether we will be getting just the Woodpigeon or do we also get it's development, the Widgeon? Same fuselage but a monoplane. Since it's only the flight dynamics that are entirely different then it would be possible to do this version in about 30 minutes. Will it be a free expansion pack?
