February 1, 201016 yr Commercial Member That is priceless.Where else but Orlando KMCO would you expect to find arrivals like BUGGZ CWRLD GOOFY MINEE and PIGLT!I'm sure you have seen this one - It's the GPS (RNAV) 16 into Portsmouth, NH (KPSM). The approach goes ITAWT-> ITAWA-> PUDYE-> TTAAT->IDIID I used to love those Tweety and Sylvester cartoons :). Rob Prest
February 1, 201016 yr I believe it's since been changed but KATL used to have YABBA DABBA DOOOH on approach to 27L (I think it was 27L). I was a huge Scooby Doo fan growing up so I've always loved that one.

February 1, 201016 yr Then you should know thats a Flintstones reference :(DOH! :( I meant to say Flintstones. I think "DOOOH" got into my head and made me think of Scooby. :(
February 2, 201016 yr My first post yay!I've seen the same type of silliness here in Palm Beach, FL at KPBI. Two of the new Standard Departures are related to Florida and Palm Beach themes.BUFIT 1 Departure Mainly the RNAV waypoints "JIMMI" and "BUFIT" (I'm sure there are more references but I can't figure them out) andIVNKA 1 Departure with "UFIRD" "DONLD" "TRMMP" "IVNKA" and "AMNDA" and I think "CRYER" (not sure). When I first saw the new Cycle info for KPBI I giggled madly for a while after seeing that. I'm sure there are others in the "LMORE1" "MIXAE1" and "TBIRD1" departures but I can't find 'em.The others that have been mentioned are priceless, I haven't laughed that loud reading fix names in a long time. :(
February 2, 201016 yr A while back I worked with a retired senior controller from NY TRACON. He in fact named many of the intersections in and around NYC. They were named for members of his and other controllers families and things like APPLE, GRITY, EMPYR, etc. Current Mission: Various IVAO Division VFR Tours Most Recently Completed Mission: World Tour 2011
