March 2, 201016 yr I bought a lifetime Galaxy Membership and received every FS9 and FSX product on CDs and DVDs. That's the best bang for the buck, IMHO.BTW, the only difference between the media version and the download version is this:Is the difference noticeable to the human eye? I have a Galaxy Membershio too and have always just gone for the download method. I wonder if it's worth asking for DVDs too so that I have a permanent back up. Not sure if it's too late to do that or not.Edit: I've also just noticed that the FSGenesis forums no longer seem to be there. It's been a while since I visited them. Do they still exist?

I looked at the layering documentation but there are no FSGenesis labeled scenery listings in FSX. Scott KGPI
March 2, 201016 yr Author Is there any special process needed to make FSgenesis play well with GEX and UTX? I looked at the layering documentation but there are no FSGenesis labeled scenery listings in FSX.It is playing nice without any special settings (if only installing mesh, the landclass needs special scenery library setting), it actually makes the whole GEX, UTX experience even better from what I understand. If you add the mesh and the landclass it makes the whole experience much different. I just added the mesh and landclass to my FSX yesterday and took a quick look around KSFO, I was surprised how much different the terrain looked from default FSX. I'll be exploring more tonight. March 2, 201016 yr Just remember don't install two landclass's that cover the same area! So if you use FSG's landclass remove any other landclass's you have that cover the same area. However I would highly suggest using scenerytech's landclass. And as far as FSG being put on the "do not trust list", you do realize he is still working on it, he has put out progress updates as he is only one person, doing the entire world...... Patience is a virtue.

March 2, 201016 yr Commercial Member FSG's mesh is very good, no doubt. But, I've personally given up on the product.I've been waiting for quite some time for V2 of Canada to come out to fix the plateau problem. After promised dates for the fix have come and gone while new products continue to come, and a few other actions by FSG, I've decided not to buy anything from them in the future. They are now on my "do not trust list", not at the top of the list, but there.Anyway, excuse the vent. This has been an annoyance for me for a while, so I took the opportunity to say so...As I said, though, I'm sure you'll like the product regardless.I'd cut Justin some slack on that... I know he's been going through a lot of personal problems and such. The business was in danger of shutting down. March 2, 201016 yr not at the same time because you can not have two separate landclass products competing against each other. you can buy both and check off in your FSX scenery library which one you want to use. each has it positives and negatives meaning they may show different coverage for a given area.FSG has two products, mesh and landclass. Review my post, I said FSG mesh, not FSG landclass.FSG mesh defines how high your mountains are, how low the valleys are, in other words it defines elevation and brings out the characteristic details of ridges, canyons, mountains, valleys, etc.ST lays down desert where deserts are, farmland were farmland is, urban arears where cities are, etc. and does not effect elevation.FSG mesh and ST landclass are two different products and can be used at the same time to better define the landscape.Rod

Apparently Justin never set up the new forums...You can log into the store at any time and click on the Galaxy Xpress option in the left column to order the CDs and/or DVDs that you want. Fr.
