April 17, 201016 yr Well was ready to buy tonight, guess they are in way too far over their head at this point. :( Especially considering just a few hours ago they said sales would resume today . . .Could be a lot better in how they handled the release, seems like they need to step up a little better if they want to run like a big dog. I know I will be criticized, but, if you are going to compare them to a PMDG, then they need to perform like one. Oh well . . .criticized Jeff Hepburn
April 17, 201016 yr No worries Joe, I feel ya on that one. Though I still wish them the best of luck in getting the problems resolved and getting back to business. Ty J. Peres - KBZN

Oh well . . .This has got to be the most delayed release in the history of flight Sim addons. What baffles me is clearly they are not learning from their mistake of giving times and dates at their storefront and then disappointing potential customers yet again. You can imagine the reaction when they post the next expected date, like I said before "I believe when I see it"Bryan.
April 17, 201016 yr One week constitutes "the most delayed release in the history of flight sim addons"? You either have a very short memory, or don't have any idea what you're talking about. Possibly both.Would you be less disappointed if you currently possessed a nonfunctioning $50 piece of software? I suspect you'd be on the forums ######ing about how lazy the developers are, and how wrong it is to release "beta quality" software to the mass market. How about you put on your big-boy pants and wait patiently for them to work out the issues?Whatever mate :( :(
April 17, 201016 yr This aircraft could very well be the most complex yet released for FSX,from it's flight model to weapons systems/radar/missle tracking it's a HUGE undertaking.Nothing this complex in real life or the flight sim world gets released without a few adjustments, especially with all the different hardware conf. and OS systems out there, think of all the different combinations?VRS are NOT PMDG.They are a relatively new very small company that puts quality in front of profits and gives one on one support to it's customers and wants it's customers to be happy with their product.I do understand the community that can't purchase yet are very upset, but please don't slame VRS because they want to give you a complete and bug free product. If you can be patient a little longer and let VRS work out the final kinks you will most likely feel like me....That this is the best $50 dollars I've ever spent in flight simming!!!Be prepared to be AMAZED!!!!
April 17, 201016 yr A bit disappointed that the information flow has stopped up after the patch was released. When do they expect it to be re-released? (not that their estimates have been accurate but at least they kept everyone up to date). Is the throttle problem hardware spesific since some (if not most) users seem to have no issue with it? How about a release with spesific hardware restrictions? How's the fix going? Any major re-writes on the way or just minor stuff? Are we talking another week or days? I'm guessing that's all answered in the support forum, but that's of course useless for those who haven't bought it yet since we're not allowed to have a look there. I get it, no support for pirates (and of course most potential customers are pirates, right?). But the announcement forum was at least free for all to see, and there's nothing new there since Thursday.

April 17, 201016 yr That's a good point. All the one on one support in the closed forum is probably a good idea to ensure a loyal fan base, but if they want us who are "on the fence" to join in they could perhaps stop treating us as security risks. Perhaps someone who's got access to the support forums knows something and can share it here?

April 17, 201016 yr Bryan,How about putting a sock in it. A developer is taking the time to get things right and all you can do is bash them? Its quite simple do not buy the product when its avaialble. That is your choice. To continue to bash VRS because they have pulled the product till they get it right is just plain asinine.

When the dust settles I will probably go and buy it anyway. It just amazes me how they keep getting all these release dates wrong. Lets hope the next date they come up with will be the real one. :(p.s Maybe some of you guys had better take a chill pill before you give yourselves a hear attack or somat.
April 17, 201016 yr p.s Maybe some of you guys had better take a chill pill before you give yourselves a hear attack or somat.Nah, I'll just go blast som AI aircraft out of the sky.Eat your heart out :( Tom Risager NGX tutorial: http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Proto=ftp&DLID=162360 SIDs & STARs Worked Examples: LOWI-UUDD, KSEA-KLAX, EKCH-ENGM, YSCB-YPAD
April 18, 201016 yr Anyone from the VRS support forum have any news on the throttle issues? Making headway? Ty J. Peres - KBZN
April 19, 201016 yr Anyone from the VRS support forum have any news on the throttle issues? Making headway? The initial issue was with some throttles not being recognized (these may have been related to multi-axis throttles). Their patch (1.04.x) appears to have largely resolved this (still a couple complaints, but very greatly reduced number and at least some of the remaining have been identified as user error), but introduced an odd problem identified for sure on X-52 controllers (and maybe some others?) where only 50% of the physical range (between 25 and 75) of the controller was being used to control the full 100% range of the throttle in the simulator. So currently people with the latter problem are using the 1.03.x version of the controller gauge and people whose throttles weren't being recognized (the former) are using the 1.04.x version of the guage. I believe they are trying to reconcile the differences, as there are already a number of people who have not read the manual and properly set up their controllers--this would only add to the fire. Of note, while it may appear that their controller setup is overly complex, it's not without reason. This is how they export the control inputs to put them through a true and proper FBW algoritham with accurate FCS coding. Hopefully it won't be too long...they really have done a phenomenal job with this aircraft and you'd be really missing out if you don't look at this bird despite being a bit late on full release. April 19, 201016 yr Thank you, that is exactly the information I was after, and there is no doubt that I'll purchase this wonderful bird as soon as it's available. Been drooling over it since I first heard it was becoming available for FSX, wishing now I would've pre-ordered :( But I know it'll be worth the wait. Thanks again for filling me in! Ty J.
