EZDOK Camera+TrackIR

Featured Replies

Dear friends! We are working now on the patch that will make EZCA compativble with TrackIr plus FSX . We need a little help from you. Please download the test utility and report the results to us. You can see the details and download the utility in this topic: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=34206

So far, all test runs from EZDOK users seem to be positive. :-)

Mine was.I'm really, really hopeful they can get this sorted.Alan

Hi, Marniftarr - from all the forum activity, the rapid patching - there are lots of issues, complaints, comments - good and bad - around setting up different cameras, motions, vibrations, the complexity of the setup, the complaints about the manual, etc.. but mostly there are two issues: 1). the setup complexity, and 2). no interface to TrackIR - and you are now in the process of correcting #2!!It seems to me that most of the TrackIR lovers - myself included - only want the aircraft motion: the vibration; the effect of turbulence and the interaction with the runway: nothing else. I don't want to setup a camera on the wing, or on the runway. I have the "S" button for that. You may not have anticipated the TrackIR problem when you first produced EZCA, but recognizing it now - would it now not be much simpler to remove all the "camera setup" code, and produce a simpler TrackIR version as a separate, stripped-down product? This would alleviate most of the huge learning curve that the camera setup creates, would create a second product, and would satisfy the needs of the very large TrackIR user base. I have purchased EZCA twice and returned it each time because I've found I cannot give up the freedom of vision that TIR gives one. I imagine dozens (hundreds?) of others feel this way too.Anyway - I'm glad you're listening, and that you're doing your absolute best - along with the great support of Flight1 - to give us the best product you can! It's appreciated, and I'm looking forward to buying it again!Regards,

I personally love the camera tools it has. I'm currently using EzDok with TrackIR just for that reason, I can actually get some very nice panning shots for my videos. On the other hand.. the shaking effects I would love to have as well in conjunction with TrackIR. That i know is being worked on.The big problem for me is camera movement. I want to make ONE camera for the airports I visit, but set it up in a way that I can quickly move it around with trackIR supported.

Marniftarr already said elsewhere (when I asked him the exact same) it's impossible to seperate the motion effects from the camera's: they belong and work together. So a 'lite' motion only version is out of the question, I am afraid. If he can get TrackIR working with EZCA, I'll buy EZCA for sure. Mainly for the effects, but I am sure that in time I will use the camera options too.

Yup: me too, Jeroen.

That's exactly why i have NOT bought it yet cause i pretty well know if it's like every thing else a guy has to go to collage to learn how to conf. and set it up and of course that is never mentioned . But i just now seen a U-tube video of getting it ready so i'll keep checking and if they have this kind of support i'll buy but till them i don't need the frustration.

All is said in this message . :(

I must be alone in this but ever since I installed EZDOK I haven't gone back to TrackIR. It's just so much easier for me to just press a button on my joystick see what I need to see. Exactly how I want to see it. I mean no offense to anyone but the camera setup is about as simple as it gets. If you can figure out how to fly a Boeing then this should be a piece of cake. No?Anyway, great product and I hope Marniftarr can have it working with TrackIR.JP

All difficulty has been linked to reception SDK from Natural Points. Now we have received this SDK. Result of integration on video. On it video only 3 DOF because from the moment of reception SDK has passed only 4 hours. But we hasten to tell about that IT WORKS!. Support 6DOF - is a time put . For support 6DOF some time is necessary for tests. We do not promise to release TR the version tomorrow and even this week. But support TR is possible ! That is all that I can tell now..Oh.. sorry :( video here :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBo-WMSb6m0
