Apparently "small gears" means your a 2nd rate member that has to live by another set of rules that OTHERS don't seem to have to go by.I know that was't what you said Paul, its just the feeling I have from watching how a few behave here that seem to also have the moderators blessing, frankly it is just imature & childish.

Player2-I think that is an overeaction.I took Paul's point to mean there are small players and big players that all help in keeping this sim workable, fun, and entertaining. Paul,I didn't get any bad vibes from your post, I read you just as you meant and I tried to state that but apparently failed, sorry! I was replying to what had already been going on since as soon as Bert had posted and when a few of us agreed with him. After that it started to be "you better not post anything positive about leaving the cfg alone and if you do you must be an anti tweaker who is confused & dumb - especially if you have registered in the past 90 days" All of that arrogance is what my response was about.To the other Moderator here, I'm sorry if you think I overreacted, but on this end...well my tongue is a bit tender and sore from biting it.If you think I spoke out of line please remove anything you think could be misread by others as a personal attack.Thanks for letting me speak and have great night.

Then on our end we find that many of these "newbies" have multiple accounts-and can actually trace these multiple accounts to a single person who has a clear agenda to discredit-usually for ego or personal gain.So I am glad you are not one of those "newbies"-but trust me-we have lots of experience with the other ones.

I decided to find the "sweet spot" for my system in a more systematic fashion,after applying various tweaks and backing them out again if they did not improvethings.Problem is, some things got better, some got worse..The absolute best in fluidity came with Pools=0, FFTF=0, and FPS=24, butafter a while, the blurries would set in.So , I decided that at the very least, I should find a setting where the textureloading system could keep up with my flight...After many tests, this is what got me there: Renaming fsx.cfg and allowing FSXto rebuild the file. The only thing I have added back in, is Affinity Mask=14.Now I can fly out of KSEA at 1400 feet, north over the city and the hi-rez texturesof PNW load like clockwork, something that Pools=0 etc could not do for me.The surprising thing to me was, that I thought I had backed out all my tweaksand yet, I got blurry tiles... I have read through countless number of post on this tweak thing. Like everyone else I spent far too many hours trying to understand each tweak. Before I go any further, I really thank ******* and Word Not Allowed and others who have done a really admirable job looking into the hidden jewels of FSX and giving us some good goodies. ******* posted in a post that first you have to understand your OWN hardware. This was my FIRST mistake, I did not. My system is a AMD dual core 2.5grz system with 4mb of RAM, a nVidia 8800 GT with 512mb of memory, running on WinVista 32 sp2, DX11, FSXsp2 with the LDS767 with updates also, ASE and its updates along with Radar Contact V5 (beta team member).Prior to my tweaking sessions, which ran into the late night I got descent FPS, around 15-20 most of the time, NO blurring, and stutters sometimes. Then after jumping head long, I got nHancer, ran up my system specs with FlusiFix-2006 V5.0\FlusiFix06. System worked somewhat better. Then I did the massive tweak, BP=0 and HIGHMEMFIX=1 and everything still worked like a dream. That was too good, I installed the Shaders3 upgrade, followed by enbeseries and the d3d9 dll install. That when all hell broke loose. On my "test flight" MMAA to KORD, first my screen kept popping with overkill bloom effects. After I took off I NEVER saw ground again. ASE was running with clouds that never went away even though weather was clear. When I got to KORD, Lake Michigan ate up Chicago and I landed with textures of OHare swiming in a sea of blue mess. Last night I swore I was going to delete my FSX.cfg and start over from scratch.
