June 2, 201016 yr Outside of OrbX & PNW's extremely localized photo-scenery areas,the remainder is fictitious generic landclass,albeit 'pretty' landclass. :( Given 6 or 12 months,it'll be interesting to see how users have populated NL2000 v4.Could well be, but I rather have this (click for the larger picture):than this:The first one (I don't have the larger original anymore and it's just one of many, not my best shot) is taken at a VERY low altitude and it still looks great (from ALL angles). The second one is taken from a great height and still looks er... I have to say though that it IS possible to make screenshots of NL2000 that DO look a LOT better. :( But that's also true for PNW...! :(

But when everyone says something is GREAT (free or not) and I just don't get it or even think it's awful, I just HAVE to say something about it. I just can't help it. Sorry! But for now I will let go of this (also when it comes to the VERO addon, where I already said more than I should have... :( ). :( I am glad for everyone who really digs this and I know plenty of people do!!!

June 15, 201015 yr Commercial Member I have managed to download all the packages after 2 weeks of continuous downloading. Can anyone who has already installed this answer me a quick question? The files all show as unknown type of files, and I am a bit unsure wether I need to have each area together on the DVD's i am burning ( like a linked rar install) How does the install work? Cheers, MarkThe installer itself needs to be installed first: it's a program that 'knows' the other files and enables you to install regions and airports one by one or everything at the same time in whatever order you want (it's a very nice and convenient installer!). So it's NOT an installer that install everything immediately: you can/have to select the things you want to install yourself. If I remember well, the main files will not be unknown anymore after installing the installer. All files that belong together (like all files from a specific region) should be kept together, otherwise the installer will miss a file, and I don't know if the installer is clever enough to let you select a file on another dvd. (I have all the files in one (huge) folder and backed them up on an external hard disk so I didn't have problems with missing files.)I think the best thing to do is to put all the files that belong together one the same dvd. You can of course burn more than one region or airport on a dvd, as long as they are complete. (Backing things up on an external hard disk is far more convenient, though. Obviously. :( )

June 17, 201015 yr I had a flightsim experience last night that has moved me to comment again.I was doing circuits at Aerosoft Lelystad on top of the NL2000 scenery, practicing no flap, wheel landings in a the real air Citabria. I had just done this earlier in the day at my local FBO and it was so completly convincing I could almost smell the Avgas.Absoultely fantastic work.
