October 4, 201015 yr Hey Folks, The merge is the best avilable I ever tried, now I really enjoy flying the 772, I have set the fuel scelar for B772ER to 1.070, I have tested 2 flights with real CFPL that I have generated my self from a professional flight plan system one I will not state the name but its one of the most accurate existing, here is my feedback as per the performances compared with what has been calculated. FLT01: Operated on time (FPL-TEST-IN -B772/H-SGHIWXY/S -EHAM0600 -N0482F410 DCT LEKKO UN872 RALUS/N0479F400 DCT FTM DCT -LPPT0233 LPPR -EET/EBUR0012 LFFF0020 LFRR0048 LECM0127 LPPC0151 PER/M084 DOF/100930) _________FUEL___TIME__DIST ARRIVE TAKEOFF LAND____AV PLD____OPNLWTPOA LPPT 015616 02.33 1029 08.41Z 197494__181878__033200 143500ALT LPPR 003210 00.29 0149 SECONDARY ALT-NIL FOD 005178HLD _____001500 00.30RES _____000468 00.05ADD _____000000 00.00REQD_____020794 03.37XTR _____000000 00.00TAXI_____000800 00.05TOT _____021594 03.42 UNITS KGSFLT02: Operated 24Hrs later (FPL-TEST-IN-B772/H-SGHIWXY/S-LPPT1400-N0474F430 DCT IXIDA DCT RIVRO UN745 ZMR UN873 FERDI UY18 DENUT DCT-EHAM0221 EBBR -EET/LECM0023 LFRR0056 LFFF0131 EBUR0156 EHAA0203PER/M083 DOF/100930)_________FUEL___TIME__DIST ARRIVE TAKEOFF LAND___AV PLD OPNLWTPOA EHAM 014768 02.21 1017 16.34Z 191172__176404 028720 143500ALT EBBR 002241 00.20 0088 SECONDARY ALT-NIL FOD 004184HLD _____001500 00.30RES _____000443 00.05ADD _____000000 00.00REQD_____018952 03.16XTR _____000000 00.00TAXI_____001600 00.10TOT _____020552 03.26 UNITS KGS-TAXI: there is a big frixion as we need to push for around 33% N1 to make the beast moving hope this will be fixef, when the fuel used is within the range . ** I always have an issue when taking off is that just on lift off I get an warning alarm & display on EICAS for LOWSPEED. -CLB: The CLB time & distance are accurate, the fuel is within the range, the Rate Of Climb was perfectly smooth & up to passengers confort requirements. -CRZ: FF was +/- correct, only one issue that I have face is that I operated at FL430, after few minutes & face a high cabin ALT & still the cabin altitude was still having a positive ROC, then I went down to FL410 then I retreived a normal Cabin pressure. -DSC: Rate of decsent was perfectly smooth & up to passengers confort requirements also no (dive of death at all ). ** Talking about 1st LEG, landed with around 542kg less than the trip fuel actually this was even less than contengency fuel of 5% which means that whis need to be ajusted a little bit to match with what it should be, as we should consum less than 5% even if flying 4000ft below planned which means even not reaching contengency fuel. If I will have more time I will test with a long range flight.Waiting for feedback. Arslan Nouar
October 5, 201015 yr Get my merge: http://singaporevirt...id=68&Itemid=70Updated FDE and all, everything in readme. It is based on twasono's package 777-200ER, just a few changes to make it even more real...
October 7, 201015 yr A HUGE thank you, Tri! I share your enthusiasm about this aircraft. I can't wait to try out the merge tonight!
October 12, 201015 yr Fantastic work, the flight dynamics have cleary changed for the better. :( I have two questions left, though:1) The aircraft is hard to taxi on the ground (especially due to the power management), is there any cure for it?2) What figure should I use in the "fuel flow scalar=XXX" so that the actual consumption machtes with the calculations of the fuel planner? Thanks.
October 13, 201015 yr Author Fantastic work, the flight dynamics have cleary changed for the better. :( I have two questions left, though:1) The aircraft is hard to taxi on the ground (especially due to the power management), is there any cure for it?2) What figure should I use in the "fuel flow scalar=XXX" so that the actual consumption machtes with the calculations of the fuel planner? Thanks.Hi Marius,1) It is caused by skid friction coefficient within the FS9 itself. Fortunately, you can modify it. Just follow this link: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/304402-sim1dll-modification-for-fs91/2) Actually we did it by comparing and adjusting the current value with the indicated consumption (Fuel Flow) information from lower EWD. Others may test it by performing a full long haul flight and then calculate & compare the total fuel consumption with real life data.Best Regards.
October 14, 201015 yr Try mine, those were taken into account (fuel flow and taxiing with little thrust). www.virtualsingaporeairlines.org downloads page.
October 15, 201015 yr Try mine, those were taken into account (fuel flow and taxiing with little thrust). www.virtualsingaporeairlines.org downloads page. It's here, my bad. http://singaporevirtualairlines.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=68&Itemid=70
October 22, 201015 yr To those who are working on the airfile.. take a look at the ramdrag in my file.It helps a lot to prevent the steep nose dive when you are at FL300 or up and doing a FLCH. Normally you will see a pitch of -4000 fpm, or more. Can be cured this way.
October 23, 201015 yr Just try this: http://singaporevirtualairlines.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=68&Itemid=70Very accurate and features modified especially for the Boeing 777-200ER. Do try it.
October 23, 201015 yr Hi,Just follow the title parameter of aircraft.cfg from this tweak package. For -200, -200ER, and -200LR models, make sure you put "PSS Boeing 777-200LR" string in the beginning of "title" parameter in Aircraft.cfgFor -300, and -300ER, make sure you put "PSS Boeing 777-300ER" string in the beginning of "title" parameter in Aircraft.cfgThis is mandatory, because the PSS panel needs it to determine which code will be used for the FMC.Please find below the examples of parameters:1. Example for -200 model:[fltsim.0]title=PSS Boeing 777-200LR|200 RR Cathay Pacificsim=PSSB772... 2. Example for -200ER model: [fltsim.0]title=PSS Boeing 777-200LR|200ER RR Singapore Airlinessim=PSSB772ER... 3. Example for -200LR model: [fltsim.0]title=PSS Boeing 777-200LR|200LR Qatar Airwayssim=PSSB772LR... 4. Example for -300 model: [fltsim.0]title=PSS Boeing 777-300ER|300 RR Cathay Pacificsim=PSSB773... 5. Example for -300ER model: [fltsim.0]title=PSS Boeing 777-300ER|300ER Cathay Pacificsim=PSSB773ER... Best Regards. Twasono, does this affect anything in the FMC apart from the aircraft type that will be displayed in the FMC IDENT? Like weights and anything?
November 27, 201015 yr What is your minimum unstick speed on the -300 at MTOW+Flap 15? I'm getting something like 200kts before the wheels lift off.Edit:Same thing is happening with the -200s at MTOW.Same problem here.
November 27, 201015 yr Same problem here.Hmm, the pitch trim values the FMC suggests are a bit inadequate for the merge. I tend to add 2.0 to 2.5 to the suggested pitch trim values. E.g. FMC pitch trim = 7.00, set pitch trim = 9.00.I haven't had a tail strike with the 300er or 200lr and always lift up at or about the calculated v2 speed.Try it out and tell me if works for you.CheersMr W.
