January 22, 201115 yr Hi Tri!Thank you VERY much indeed for these tweaks! I just flew a test flight aboard an 777-300ER from Singapore to Kai Tak. The T7 worked like a charm and because it was a test flight, I was using accelerated time up to 16x. No more porpoising! How did you manage that I do not know but I am quite happy with that alone. Terrific!I've been tweaking my Posky/PSS merge for ages now and your tweaks are the cherry on top. A few points I'm curious about:- Fuel planning: I used PSS's planner for the -300ER and it worked perfectly. How about the other models? You mentioned that you have tweaked fuel consumption... is PSS's fuel planner still valid? As I said, it worked for the -300ER... but how does the FMC react to changed consumption, do you know? Will it show accurate fuel consumption prediction or were the values for different models "hardwired" by PSS? - You set elevator_trim_effectiveness=3.0. I am using a GoFlight GF-LGTII module with trim wheel and 3.0 made my poor T-7 jump like a rabbit up and down at slightest touch. :( Just curious, why set so high? In my old aircraft.cfg I had it at 0.4- Obviously, PSS loaders won't work (I used to copy the weight & balance section from the PSS aircraft.cfg to my merged .cfg after adjusting pax & cargo.) Any reason for reducing the station_load lines? Again, no biggie at all, you provided No. of pax for each station and that will work nicely. - VC: I tried to put PSS-B777!Autopilot gauge into the VC, but it looks like the VC itself was modeled in such a way that it is impossible. Just wondering if you came to the same conclusions? I am using a panel.cfg virtually identical to yours and with Saitek TQ buttons assignments I have virtually all functions available in the VC (LNAV, VNAV,etc.,...)That's it. I'll switch to your FDE & aircraft.cfg settings over the next days for the rest of the 777 fleet and be happy. :( Again, thank you for your work, I love what you did for the T-7! :( Regards,JureSorry for (maybe) digging this topic up but I'm having trouble with the acceleration rate. Even with this tweak my a/c still max at 2x only, more than that, goes crazy. Any clue? February 14, 201115 yr I also am adding two qauestions to the topic... Can anyone explain more detail how to get the APU exhaust nozzle to work with APU bleed air gauge>?Also, I have matched the cfg files, and the title, however my FMS still is showing the Boeing 777-300ER for the B777-200ER.....Besides that so far so good.Thanks.Drew
February 14, 201115 yr ============================================THE ULTIMATE PSS 777 FDE TWEAK (Version 1.0)============================================Background:===========I am a big fans of Boeing 777, since the aircraft have a very masculine looks.I like the PSS Addon for FS2004, but the model is lack of detail and it only contains three models (-200LR, -200LRF, and -300ER).Besides that, the FDE is not very accurate and the autopilot control is far from excellent. When Project Opensky released their 777 series a few years ago. I soon made a merge between the PSS panel and the Posky models. At first, I successfuly merged the plane (2D panel, VC gauges, XML gauges, etc.), but the FDE still need improvements. This FDE tweak is a work of months from me to find the most realistic feeling when flying the beast. At last, I found that the tweak has already match my expectation and I would like to share it to all FS simmers, who like the T7 very much.Main Features:==============1. This tweak is mainly intended to you who use the PSS 777 Panel and Project Opensky 777 Models merge.2. The specifications in aircraft.cfg are following the official data from wikipedia.org - Maximum Take Off Weight (MTOW) - Empty Weight (EW) - Fuel Capacity (FC) - Thrust setting (TS)3. This tweak package contains FDE for all aircraft models: - Boeing 777-200 --> MTOW: 545,000lb; EW: 297,300lb; FC: 31,000gal; TS:77,000lbf - Boeing 777-200ER --> MTOW: 656,000lb; EW: 304,500lb; FC: 45,220gal; TS:95,000lbf - Boeing 777-200LR --> MTOW: 766,000lb; EW: 320,000lb; FC: 47,890gal; TS:110,000lbf - Boeing 777-200LRF --> MTOW: 766,000lb; EW: 320,000lb; FC: 47,890gal; TS:110,000lbf - Boeing 777-300 --> MTOW: 660,000lb; EW: 353,800lb; FC: 45,220gal; TS:98,000lbf - Boeing 777-300ER --> MTOW: 775,000lb; EW: 370,000lb; FC: 47,890gal; TS:115,000lbf4. The .air file is tweaked to obtain the "near" realistic setting of 777 climb performance. No more "rocket"-like while climbing.5. The Localizer is now captured smoothly by the autopilot, without being annoyed by opposite roll action.6. The full autoland touch down now becomes pretty smooth (between -200 to -400 fpm) because the tweak also modify the "flare" characteristic of the PSS panel.7. The fuel consumption is also adjusted so it should be "near" to the real one. When cruising with full load, the fuel flow is around 6000 to 7000 Kg/hour. And when the load is low, the FF is around 5000 to 6000 Kg/hour.Installation Instruction:=========================- Just copy and paste the related aircraft.cfg and .air file to your 777 folder.- Please make adjustment on the "fltsim" section to make sure it use your existing texture, model, panel, and sound.DOWNLOAD LINK --> click hereBest Regards,Tri WasonoI haven't merged the PSS 777 as I don't look outside the cockpit while flying. Its generally for me to fly. I thought the PSS product had accurate flight dynamics. I tried a new sound file which was nice but I get sound stuttering...... (files too big right?)Daniel
February 20, 201115 yr Hello, I have just merged the PSS Panel with the Posky model for the Boeing 777-200ER.Opening the FMC I see this information on the Initialization page:Model: 777-200LR (which should be correct)Engine rating: GE90-110B1 (which is wrong I think).I need to know if this could affect flight performances and if this can be fixed. In the Aircraft.cfg file I set up this values:-> Fuel_flow_scalar= 1.07-> Static_thrust= 95000 (but Wikipedia for the RR engine variant states 93,400 lbs)Could you help me about that? February 24, 201115 yr Hi, Ive been reading through this thread for some time, and its been quite helpful in getting my merge up and running. The plane flies beautifully and works as it should from the 2D panel, but flying it in the VC is a little challenging, because all of the interaction with the auto flight has to be done through the 2D panel. For example, flicking the FD switches and the the AP switches has no effect whatsoever in the VC, it all has to be done from the 2D panel. also, changing the heading value on the FCU produces no visible change on the NAV rose display. (the dashed magenta line does not move). Is this an inherent compromise of flying this merge or am I doing something wrong?Kind Regards, Richard Shaw

If you have a powerful enough computer get Emil Serafino's sound file. My sound stutters. I got too much add ons I think and I need an I7 with a 460X Nvidia card. The PSS product is so good (I'm not particular about the model because I am a flyer and like the cockpit-VC) you should stick with the original. Unless I am missing something.CheersDaniel

The 777-200LR uses the GE90-110 engines, unlike the 777-300ER which has the most powerful engine in the world, the GE90-115s.DanielHi, sure, you are right but I used the Boeing 777-200ER which has not the GE90-115s. So my question is: does the wrong information in the FMC affect aircraft flight performance? In other words, using the Boeing 777-200ER, which has the GE90-94B or other engine types (PW 4090, RR895), how can I get in the FMC the correct data (model & engine type)? I don't want to use a boeing 777-200LR and have the performance of the 777-200LR or 777-300ER, which have different engine types. No I hope it is more clear. Thanks.RR Capt. February 26, 201115 yr I believe the wrong aircraft type in FMC is just the bug from mergine 2 planes together Hoang Le i7 13700k - Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RX 7900 XT - Asus TUF Z790 PLUS D4 - Gskill Trident 32GB DDR4-3600 LG 34GP63A-B Ultrawide - ASUS VG259QM MSFS2020
February 27, 201115 yr I believe the wrong aircraft type in FMC is just the bug from mergine 2 planes togetherYes, i also think that. And also, i don't think it will really make a difference on how the plane flies...
March 12, 201115 yr Anyone here can make the plane go faster than 2x time acceleration? I've heard in this topic by using this tweak and merge we can use 4x and 8x. But I couldn't. Hoang Le i7 13700k - Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RX 7900 XT - Asus TUF Z790 PLUS D4 - Gskill Trident 32GB DDR4-3600 LG 34GP63A-B Ultrawide - ASUS VG259QM MSFS2020
March 15, 201115 yr So I am having a minor issue with the tweak. When flying using autopilot heading hold, so NO VNAV, i'll sial in th eheading and the plane will turn towards that heading, however it is over shooting the heading by 3-4 degrees and then turning back. Anyway to stop that? For example i'll be heading say 020.... then i'll dial in 140, so the plane will start the right turn as I am twisting the heading to 140. The plane will turn to about 144 maybe 145 degrees then turn back left to get on 140. Any ideas? Minus that no issues- I am finding this is a really good merge...Thanks.
March 16, 201115 yr Hmm I'm having problems when cruising. The plane just pitch up and down slightly at cruise level. Anyone having this problem?/Does this merge have save panel state? June 6, 201115 yr Commercial Member I, too, have been following this thread for a while and have used the attached files. I've been very pleased so far. It's a bit hard following some of the experimenting though previous. Is there a final, "decided upon", fuel flow scalar for each of the models 200ER/LR and 300?I'm also still having a bit of trouble with VNAV descent and FLCH descent. VNAV still keeps me around 3000-4000 fpm (I'd like to get this number around 2000), and FLCH is relatively unpredictable.Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
