Which 767

Hi ESzczesniak,Sorry to hear that your still having problems with the Level-D. As for anyone else experiencing Lockup's, Freezing, CTD's and has not tried the above fix, its worth a shot. You have nothing to lose, well except Freezes, Lockups, Critical Errors and/or CTD's. :( Then again, it may do nothing, as I said in an earlier post: "Keep in mind YMMV, what has worked for me may do nothing for you".

If you read my previous posts you would see that I've already done this. I've tried removing it, replacing it and changing it. For me it vastly reduced the CTD's, but it did not remove them.
Hi sg38,Ground Communication is achieved via the ground call button, the Ground Requests Sub Menu gives you access to the Interphone - (Connect/Disconnect), External Air - (Connect/Disconnect), External Power - (Connect/Disconnect), Pushback - (Direction & Distance) and the ability to Repair Aircraft Failures.
May I ask why the ground call button is so important? I've NEVER use it IRL on the 767 because IF the guy down there has connected his headset he can hear me taking anyway and if he's sitting in his car he can't hear the ground call at all. So I have to use the taxi light switch to get his attention.

Ever looked up Wikipedia'n stuff in case of the familiarization? You would be surprised to see ...Might also give you an answer towards the question why the 757 has such a Boeing untypical nose :(

Do you have the captain sim 767??If not let me explain ,the cs 767 is exactly the same as the 757, now i know they are similar, but not identical.. [the only differences for the 767 is the overhead in the CS model]also CS have never made a speed tape ADI, glass cockpit displays.

Yes, I'm a owner and I wonder what will be left to to complain if you discover that 757 and 767 cockpits are mainly the same. They even have the same rating (did you read Wikipedia by the way?).So what differences do you expect them to have exactly?Maybe the answer is the key to the long development cycle of the LD 757 :( You can only see a real difference in the 757 and 767 cockpits when looking behind you. The 767 fits a wide body airframe, the 757 only standard size. The door leading towards the cockpit is therefor differently arranged.Familiarization was a big key to economic service. Airbus even expands this thing as their cockpits mainly look the same from A320, 330 and 340. So why complain about a well done cockpit experience?Agreed on the speed tape that's missing in the CS 767. This already was mentioned before and is still flown by some airlines (at least when watching some inflight videos or training tapes). The rest of the mentioned "glass" is available and looks far better than any tweaked LD does and works too.So I don't find any objective arguments to not use the CS models. If someone likes the LD more, that's ok for me (I don't like her in FSX), but he shouldn't try to convince people with "clear" arguments or auto-reply on the old "which 767 is best?" question to state a "this is a must have" or something. I don't like this kind of influence, it isn't objective at all. There are also some other 767 models out there, I'd like to remind everyone who's reading. And btw, a 767-400 would be nice.

@ Tim Capps, what file needs to be changed from a 1 to a 0 in the CS 767?
Sound.Ini in the 767 folder in FSX/Captain SimSoundOffWhenSimIsSlew=0SoundOffWhenSimIsPaused=0Fair clarification since I brought it up relevant to the conversation, material to ease of said operation.

I think that Captain Sim's 767 and 757 are great, but since Bryan York has released FS2Crew Voice Command for the LevelD 767, it's the only 767 I've been flying and because of FS2Crew I have really been re-discovering how amazing of a simulation the Level D is. If you can get past the older standard visual quality of the cockpit in the Level D, it has much more accurately modeled and realistic systems than probably any other simulation on the market today. Remember, this is an old simulation, but still the leader in aircraft simulated systems of any new simulation available.

I tried the UIAutomationCore.dll removal, and had a "you have no memory left" CTD after a PMDG MD11, KLAX-BOS flight on the roll out. Level-D is in the bin.
