August 7, 201015 yr CS and LevelD both have their pros and cons.I own the CS 767, but this is what I do believe.Ill start with Level D:Pros: Cons:*Deatiled in systems *Outdated VC *Outdated TexturesCaptain Sim:Pros: Cons:*Deatiled VC + Cabin *Not everything does at it should*Detailed Model. *Not simulated aswell as Level Ds. I purchased Level D's first but got a refund because of some configuration error which couldn't be resolved. I got Captain Sim's as a review copy for a different site, I believe Level D's is actually better though, but the choice is yours!
August 8, 201015 yr It really depends what you're looking for, but as a rough guide....If you're looking for a really amazing VC and external model, choose CaptainSim.If you don't mind a reduction in quality in return for much better fps, choose LevelD. (CS=10 FPS / LVLD=30 FPS for me)If you want full systems modelling, choose LevelD.If you want a fully modelled interior cabin streching right back to the rear galley, choose CaptainSim.If you want FS2Crew, choose LevelD.If you want -200, -300, -300F, KC767 & E767 varients, with optional winglets, choose CaptainSim.If you want compatability with other addons / hardware, choose LevelD.I've tried to be fair with the above. Personally I spend more time in the LevelD, but for screenshots, videos, and whenever I want that bit extra detail, I'll gladly hop into the CaptainSim.If you want to fly the 767 properly; you won't regret buying the LevelD.
August 8, 201015 yr Level-D 100% If you already own both, why don't you just make your own decision? Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE) - PPL ASEL i9 12900k @ 5.2 - 32 GB DDR5 @ 6000 - 3080TI - W11
August 8, 201015 yr Hi,I spend 99.9% of my flighsim time in Level-D's 767, as of right now (system/model) its second to none. August 8, 201015 yr Definitely the Level-D. What's the point of having the Captain Sim 767 when you encounter problems with the SID/STARS there? And besides, you do seem to be looking for systematic aircraft.Dave. August 8, 201015 yr Author Commercial Member the reason i am asking is not to ask which one to geti have both..i actually prefere the exterior modelling of the leveld, it looks more "767" like, compared to the captain sim..also the CS does handle like a fighter jet Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! August 8, 201015 yr ...also the CS does handle like a fighter jetI dont own the CS767, however, I do own the CS757 and I also felt like it handled alot like a fighter aircraft. After changing a few settings in the aircraft.cfg it handles alot better. Maybe the 767 is the same, at least its worth a tryOpen fsx\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B757-200 (not sure about the location of CS767, perhaps fsx\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B767-300 ?)edit these variables :elevator_effectivenessaileron_effectivenessrudder_effectiveness0.8 should be good, maybe you even need 0.7
August 8, 201015 yr If you want -200, -300, -300F, KC767 & E767 varients, with optional winglets, choose CaptainSim.and which variant is LevelD's model??the reason i am asking is not to ask which one to geti have both..i actually prefere the exterior modelling of the leveld, it looks more "767" like, compared to the captain sim..also the CS does handle like a fighter jetHmmm i could think that if you own both, you could mix leveld's cfg in CSim's aircraft.cfg, but i don't know if this is "legal" (well, nobody would knowif you did that, right?!? :( )Best regards,Ignacio Ignacio aka Tanocapo
August 8, 201015 yr I have the FS2Crew Voice Commander on the Level D and can assure you it is a fantastic simming combination. I'll not fly/use anything else right now. August 8, 201015 yr Hi,The Level-D 767 was created to reflect the system/model of the Boeing 767-300ER airraft. and which variant is LevelD's model??Best regards,Ignacio Former Beta Tester - (for a few companies) - As well as provide Regional Voice Set Recordings Two: AMD-9950X | One: AMD-7950X3D | Three: Asus TUF 4090s | Three: 64GB DDR5 RAM 6000mhz | Three: Cosair 1300 P/S | Three: 990Pro 2TB NVME One: Eugenius ECS2512 - 2.5 GHz Switch | Three: Ice Giant Elite CPU Coolers | Three: 75" 4K UHDTVs | One: Boeing 737NG Flight Deck
August 8, 201015 yr This is because it was created with help from a real 767 pilot, right?Dave. "It goes without saying that when survival is threatened, struggles erupt between peoples, and unfortunate wars between nations result." -HIDEKI TOJO
