Manifold pressure problem - single engine
i don't want to start an argument here but i always thought that the Carenado Saratoga was a bit underpowered, even taking under consideration every word discussed in this topic. So i modified the max_rpm_mechanical_efficiency_scalar= line in the aircraft.cfg to something closer to 1.0. Maybe a lower figure could represent a fatigued or not well maintained engine (my speculation). Obviously, i won't discover the gunpowder if i say 1.0 equal 100% mechanical efficiency. Let me say that i fly normally in warm and low altitude regions. Best regards, Ignacio

Simulating Ferry Tanks
Hi Lee!! maybe i could help you. Some time ago i'll do something similar in a Caravan. Well, this is what i did: In aircraft.cfg file, look from the next list, which one is available. This will be your ferry tank inside your plane. center1 center2 center3 leftmain leftaux lefttip rightmain rightaux righttip external1 external2 Next, under [fuel] you'll define the tank. For example: Center1=0.00, 0.00, 0.00, 359.0, 0.0 where the first 3 figures are the datum reference point (in feet), and the last 2, useable and unusable fuel capacity (in gallons). You could use stations under [weight & balance] as a reference of where tanks are placed. I hope you find this helpful!! Best regards, Ignacio

Carenado Aircraft
I reccomend you their Piper Saratoga. It's really easy to fly and a good choice to practice. If you're looking for a PMDG quality, Cessna Caravan or Piper Malibu.Cheers.Ignacio :(

What is important to you in a new flight sim?
I'm suprised that there's nothing about ATC in the poll!!! I think ATC in all his aspects should be improved because there's too much room in that department. I also voted thinking that everything that's present in FSX will not be removed!CheersIgnacio

Which aircraft addon do you miss that needs to be part of FSX?
I agree with you!! And i don't mention the B737-200 because is under development by Captain Sim, but after a long wait.CheersIgnacio

Are you waiting on Flights release before you buy a new PC?
Yes but i think that a current high end rig should be enough to run MS Flight decently. Well, that's my speculation and finally i will follow itCheersIgnacio
