August 20, 201015 yr Save your money, go to an airport and take an introductory flight and get the sensation of Real flying. I did that one day back in 2005 and had a great time, despite the fact that I was not very energetic that day because I played too much fs9 the night before. :) Fast forward to today, I'm working on my CFI. August 20, 201015 yr Hello everyone. If anyone moves away from FS9, it's because they think, not because they know, since the developers have no real Marketing evaluation, that they can do better somewhere else. Larger developers DO have the research. And those who stopped developing for FS9 never turned back. They may abandon an existing market, yes, but a diminishing one that's not worth doing commercial development for anymore.Or do you REALLY believe they drop a market because it is lucrative?
August 20, 201015 yr Moderator No joke! When sales for the same product for FS9 reach a point of diminishing returns, it's time to move on...Currently FSX versus FS9 sales are nearly 20:1 ratio... :( Fr. Not a big deal, but I wouldn't say those figures are the same.Which is exactly what I am going to do.....I have decided to get my PPL :(Best of luck to you! August 21, 201015 yr Moderator So which number is it? Not a big deal, but I wouldn't say those figures are the same. Both are accurate, actually. The 12:1 refers to a single product. The 20:1 is all products in the catalog. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
