October 9, 201015 yr That is great to hear (read). I did notice he said "-400" and not -8 though. For myself it doesn't matter since my childhood favorite was and still is the -400, but the -8 has "grown" on me quite a bit. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

October 17, 201015 yr Commercial Member Just want to reply and say that we do NOT consider the 747 to be a product that's lacking in the systems simulation department, unlike parts of the old NG. The 747 is significantly more developed, particularly in the VNAV and really deep failure modelling, system interdependencies etc. The 747 received several service packs that added a lot of functionality too, we did more modelling stuff when the 400X was developed and then patched those features into the FS9 version too. We still think it's the best simulation of the 400 there is and aside from the fact that it's showing it's age graphically a bit, there's nothing we're unhappy with in it as far as the actual systems go. Can we make it better? Of course, and we will when we make the new one, but it should not be lumped in with the old NG. October 17, 201015 yr I have been pretty addicted to the MD-11 since I got it, but owning the 747-400x for a couple years before that was mind blowing learning something new all the time in it. In fact there's still a lot I'm sure I never touched on but for me anyway, the 400x is a hall of famer, no doubt!I think thats why so many want to see a new one (Me included). It's been my favorite AC since I was a kid, but for many it's probably theirs from being their first great modeled AC.For me a new one is for better fps, newer VC, newer failure gen, and maybe possibly some nude stewardesses. Maybe just one, posing on the pogo stick or something :) i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
