Dear Shez,First of all, sorry for my bad english, my congratulations for the very nice Long Beach Airport, just put into my computer, works very good, also FR are good, the only problem is(at list for me) at the right side of the rwy 30 a pacht in a pink color!, maybe is like this in real life(I never been to Long Beach Airport)also in the middle and end of the same rwy are patches in green color and in finals for the same rwy a couple of textures are also missing(maybe trees or buildings, not sure)now, don't get me wrong, this is a constructive critic, I have only good words for people like you, using your spare time in making this beautyfull sceneries for all of us flightsimmers of the world. If you have solve this problem, please let me know, if not I will have to live with it, not a big deal!Best regardsH.Urban

It's on the front page news today!!! Haven't got to check it out myself yet, but screenies look good!!Edit: Looking at it again, it looks like it's FS2004 scenery not FSX! It may work in FSX, but there may be some issues with it!! (ie: the pink area mentioned)

Thanks

I got really excited when I saw the notice on the front page only to be let down when I found it was for FS9. I really wish he would start to do stuff for FSX (AFAIK, he hasn't). He is the best at designing freeware airports and I think FSX really lacks high level of detail freeware scenery. Did the round Earth in FSX complicate scenery design to the point that is killed freeware scenery? Or what it something else. Don't get me wrong, there are some nice sceneries out there for FSX but no where near the amount that we had with FS9. I know 99% of the stuff I have is payware and most of the stuff under FSX scenery at AVSIM is created with ADE.

He says he's going to try and adapt it to FSX....

I just tried this scenery in FSX and it works. I did see some small anomalies but they are minor in nature. Let me know you guys are seeing.Shez

Hi Shez,I tried it in FSX and it looks pretty good! The only thing I really noticed was some of the trees not displaying properly - like their alpha channel was missing or something. Otherwise, it looks awesome, especially with the Megascenery SoCal X!!Fabulous work!-Alex

Hey Shez...Your Long Beach (FS2004) scenery is working great on FSX with no frame loss, the only problems I have encountered are minor flicking at the boundaries and see-thru textures where trees are in front of structers.Btw...using Mega Scenery X Southern CaliforniaThank you...Darryl

That's perfectly normal when using most FS9 sceneries....several scenery objects created with the FS9 SDK are hard-coded into the former, FSX won't support those objects, and even if they do appear several small anomalies may appear, such as flickering. Haven't tested the scenery in FSX yet, but I'll try it tonight. As for MegaSceneryX....I can't argue with that, Californian airport sceneries look best with these. Dave.
