Taxi2Gate Scenery

Featured Replies

Hello, has anyone tried their scenery? If so, what do you think? Are these developers former members from another group (Vans,FlyMex...)?I tried to sign up on their forums but I never received a confirmation email. Their forums don't look that active.I still have the FlyMex stuff on my sim and I only want to replace it if their version is either a lot nicer or if it gets AES support.

No one has tried any of their sceneries? Maybe there is a reason their forums are not very active.Bump

Yeah, I cant say that I have heard much about their stuff either, good or bad. The only Central or South American stuff I have ever bought is from LatinVFR or Tropical Sim. Let us know how the T2G stuff is if you end up trying it.

I have been looking at their Santiago de Cuba scenery, because it seems like a very nice airport. Plus, Cubana is one of the few airlines that actually still uses aircraft like the IL-62. The sceneries all look pretty good, rather professionally done, but I have never bought anything they did because it's not exactly at the locations I'd visit. If they'd do stuff in South America, I would be more inclined to buy a product of theirs.

They started sending items to be posted about a year ago to the Editors about their releases, looking over the screen captures and layout of the website two things came to mind,#1 its a small team and #2 they are singularly devoted to bringing their homeland into sim.

They are re-organizing into a new company. Here is their new forum site. Give it a try.http://intersimstudios.com/forum/index.phpLee

Are those the same people? I didn't see their Mexican scenery mentioned on the site.

No. Intersim is one guy named Junior or at least that's the screen name he uses. T2G is another company that was going to host his sceneries after Intersim closed the first time. Now Junior has the Intersim site open again and says that he is going to build a 787 and release KMIA as freeware since FSDT is going to do KMIA. Although he also has all the models for KMIA for sale as well for $350 if someone wants to buy it and finish it themselves. There's also another company called FlyMex that has done some Mexican airports as well.

He's gonna do a 787... alone? Does he even have the funds to acquire the necessary info?

Who knows?I don't know the fellow personally or doubt his abilities, but frankly I think he might be bitting off a little more than he can chew as a one man team. Umberto from FSDT laid into him the other day when a 6 page post came to light about how his company isn't dead and the site is back up. I know that the Intersim fellow has good intentions, but after the history of his company opening, then closing, and now reopening again, and the KMIA project which was payware and is now freeware but not complete, and the models is for sale to anyone who wants to finish it, leads me to wonder what is going to happen in the future for him.You never know, a few years from now he might have a substantial portfolio of finished airports and a/c that rival FSDT and FlyTampa, but until then I wouldn't hold my breath. I think he basically gave up the KMIA project when he learned that FSDT was going to do it and a while back when he introduced the 787 it was before Quality Wings announced they were doing it. Which leads me to wonder as well if he will give up the 787 since another big shop if going to do it. He has big plans for a single person, I wish him well though since he seems to be a nice guy.

I have Never bought a taxi2gate scenery, they seem at least better then flymex/Vans from the screenshots that are posted at there website. taxi2gate is run by Cesar Escamilla not related to me! same first name lol. LOL.gif and intersim studios is Junior Puente aka juniorpm. One of the problems I saw with taxi2gate is that they offer the fsx and fs9 as separate versions. the only thing I personally see from there scenery is really the texture work that goes into it I'm not a professional but they are not at that level were flytampa, fsdreamteam, and simwings flightbeam, etc etc are right now. but they look good. I wish them the best of luck and we need every talented person to come into this hobby and make it a better one.

I purchased the FS9 version of MMMX. Very nice work. Giant step above the FlyMex sceneries. I was hoping when they release a FSX version of the airport, it would be free for users who purchased the FS9 version, but they wanted full price both. So I decided not to buy.
