Searching GA Aircraft

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I´m thinking of buying a GA addon, but unfortunately i´m not familiar with GA and therefore I don´t know which one to take. Here are my specifications for that aircraft:1.) Nice exterior and interior2.) Good and soft to fly3.) Not too slow ( 130-160 KIAS cruise speed)4.) It should have the ability to fly under IFR conditions and a good AP.5.) Shouldn´t be too expensive, 30 $ or so would be greatI´m waiting for your proposals.

Take the Beech Duke B60 from RealAir for €32. It's probaly the best GA aircraft out there. It's worth every penny. :(

I would agree.. and if you are willing to spend the money, add the RealityXP GNS530for a real world GPS navigation experience.

The Duke is a jewel but he wrote 30 $ and therefor it might be too expensive then. The MilViz C310 is a bit cheaper than the Duke, haven't tested her but I've read tons of good comments so far.Orbx is doing a very nice one too, the Lancair. Looks like some really good thing coming up there. They have all good devs on board, especially on the FDE in my eyes. Should be released this weekend on pre-pay and the manuals are already available on their site.Reality XP is possible on all those three examples.

There are always new aircraft under development, but the RealAir bird is in a class by it self as quality goes, and indeed worth the extra 10 bucks..

Depending upon how remote you want your GA flying to be, I might suggest the Lionheart Quest Kodiak. Info here;http://www.lionheartcreations.com/Kodiak.htmlI find it very handy for getting into and out of smaller, more remote places. Maybe not as "feature rich" as other planes mentioned, but it is available through the Flight1 system, which gives you 30 days to try it out.

get the Tecnam Sierragreat little airplane, great to get started on, a little different then the "norm" and very cheaphttp://secure.simmarket.com/ants-airplanes-tecnam-sierra.phtmlyou'll have money left over

Ciao!

RealAir Duke, best GA aircraft hands down, the little more $$$ you will spend will be worth it.

Agree pretty much with everyone. I have all 3 (Duke, 310, F33A) and the Duke is probably the nicest albeit more $. Between the other two, right at your price point, I would choose the Milviz 310 because it's a twin like the Duke, and I think it simulates one engine out much better than the Duke. If you just want a single engine the F33A is an excellent plane. Really, you can't go wrong with any of these three. The Duke is a little harder on FPS on my machine than the others so depending on your system that minght be a factor.Steve

At first, thanks to all who answerd so fast, really impressive.I just checked the Duke. There is only one word so say: AWESOMEHm, but i don´t know whether i buy it at RealAir or at aerosofts store. The german manual is the best piont for Aerosoft, caus english all the time is sometimes hard, it is not your first language. But Aerosoft wants nearly 40€ for it and RealAir only 32€, so I´m not knowing wich to take^^.BTW: The Duke is just the sort of GA Plane I´m searchin´ for.Another question: Is the Duke Frame rate friendly or not? ( Look spec´s down below.)

Best regards, Steffen

the duke is so freakin awesome!man I remember the first time I pushed the throttles forward! wow the sound was amazing, it really felt big and old and a bit heavy.. great stuff.

Ciao!

It will fly just fine on your system. If you are really hung up on performance, the Carenadoplanes (Seneca and Bonanza) will put less stress on your system, but I'm flying all three ona Q6600 clocked @ 3.2 and a lowly 9600 GT video card without any issues.

You can download the Duke manual for free:http://realairsimulations.com/list_box.php?page=duke09_downloads
