October 30, 201015 yr Commercial Member Thanks for your support everyone! The Lancair is now officially the best selling aircraft at flightsimstore.com, which is not bad for it being a few days on sale :)The V1.1 patch is not far away now, in final QA testing. We've added mouse clickzones for the 2D popups (in addition to the SHIFT+ 2/3/4) and also the ability to use the default Arial font for the GNS for those who don't like the Garmin authentic fonts. Further clarity to the AP panel and other minor fixes as reported by customers. We have two more aircraft in development right now, which we're just as excited about. Thanks again for the great reception you've given the Lancair! Cheers, John Venema

November 3, 201015 yr I do see on the ORBX payware support forums that there are some users complaining that they get CTD after the patch1.1 . Edit.. not to worry I see that it seem to be a specific user only, so no concern then to others.
November 3, 201015 yr how are the frames relative to the realair duke? i'm getting about low 20s to high teens in the duke inside the intense VC

November 3, 201015 yr how are the frames relative to the realair duke? i'm getting about low 20s to high teens in the duke inside the intense VCI would say the lancair is better on Frames then the duke, even though not by much, but if you see what you get it is pretty darn good. However it is worth getting it as long as you not into "mods" of the plane. Understandably ORBX like that you fly the plane as authentic as possible.
November 3, 201015 yr how are the frames relative to the realair duke? i'm getting about low 20s to high teens in the duke inside the intense VCThe Lancair is a bit heavier on frames here vs. the Duke, at least in heavier weather (clouds, precip). However, the performance is nearly always remarkably smooth on my system due, I believe, to the tweaking I've done since last spring. The Lancair is remarkable, especially with the XP guages added, and I find myself not paying attention to frames while I'm doing all that flying the plane and the (Garmin) nav system requires. Both planes are a must. Dave Skuback - KBLM'Cause down the shore everything's all right
November 4, 201015 yr thanks i guess i'll stick w/ the duke right now if the performance is similar.the virtual cockpit, panels and exterior model look similar in quality from the screenshots.
November 4, 201015 yr They are similar in performance (although the lancair will win out in the flight levels for pure TAS).And both have similar FS features...I like to go really fast so I bought it :( | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 5, 201015 yr This plane goes like stink and I love it to bits! Great for accelerated exploration. ;)Anticipation is the key to a successful "re-entry", and if you don't watch out you'll find yourself going 50kts too fast or more on final approach. Get that gear down and those flaps extended as soon as you dare. This thing is so light and slippy you'll often as not need the speed brakes as well (yes you did just read "speed brakes").The Ferrari of GA, have fun! :)
November 5, 201015 yr This plane is amazing, guaranteed you will not be disappointed with it! She is hard to slow down, so MAKE SURE to plan your descent! If need be, speed brakes out...after 174 flaps 10, and then in becomes manageable!Great work on this gem Orbx! Image Coming... KregE | B757/767 FO
