December 3, 201015 yr Captains (and FSX captains thinking about to be): I never thought FSX would work but after building a new system and OC to 4.0 Ghz, I can now believe in FSX. So, what does it takes to run it with almost no stutters?--- It needs 4.0 Ghz CPU--- Nvidia Inspector for new drivers (For Nvidia Cards)--- All of Nicks recommendations--- (and a must have)... Bijote's tweaking toolMine is running smooth, almost zero stutters or hesitations running on dense scenries and heavy add-ons. The only thing I'm currently having difficulty with is with the Yoke and Pedals (FSX not keeping some assigments, and brakes remains locked)...working on fixing it.But, as far as running FSX, it's definelty worth the switch.John
December 3, 201015 yr It doesn't need any NVidia stuff at all if you don't have an NVidia graphics card.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Use the CH Control Manager software. IIRC there's a post in their forum talking about this - if not - post and ask Bob Church about how to calibrate in W7.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
December 4, 201015 yr Hi Johnny 767Glad its working out for you. Just to share my experience. I also have a sim I enjoy with a 4GHZ OC and heavy add ons.Although my experience is slightly different to yours. If I am in the PMDG 747 landing at Aerosoft MegaAirport CDG I would not call it exactly stutter free!!Not trying to put a downer on anything but I am not quite sure that 4 GHZ means no stutters with heavy add ons in dense areas. ( I just don't think we are quite there yet)But if someone can tell me it does then please do which would mean I am doing something wrong!I do get stutter free landings but they tend to be at Gatwick UK2000 scenery with UT2 traffic at 70% and UTX Europe or maybe Aerosoft's Nice X but unfortunately not Heathrow or San Francisco. As I say, not trying to be negative, just sharing my experience. I tend to stay away form the high dense areas such as Heathrow, New York etc because of poor performance and have a smoother flying experience.(my FSX is set it up as per Nick Ns suggestion along with a couple of Bojote's tweaks) Keithy George
December 4, 201015 yr Glad is it's running well for you. FSX is running great for me with a 3.1 Ghz proc. "Even Ozzy's wagging his tail again. Liam who?"

I understand what you say.. But, I found out FSX is mostly governed by the CPU and not the vedeo card.. FSX loves 4.0 GHz +

December 4, 201015 yr If I am in the PMDG 747 landing at Aerosoft MegaAirport CDG I would not call it exactly stutter free!!You have the same video card as me, that's the last bottleneck, getting your cpu up to 4ghz is necessary mainly with AI traffic and Orbx scenery, otherwise if you have a new nvidia 480 video card and an i7 running over 3ghz, you should see smooth flying everywhere even in bad weather. I am in the process of upgrading my card

I have tried and tried many things for the past week and I am unable to find a solution to this. Now, I am unable to fly becuase the brakes remain "Locked-on" I will greatly appreciate it if you can provide me any type of guidelines how to resolve this.. I have a Saitek Pedals and Yoke.

December 4, 201015 yr By far the best way to configure hardware is via the registered version of FSUIPC.I have yoke & pedals with ZERO axis assigned in FSX. All done with FSUIPC & MUCH better! December 4, 201015 yr Whenever I have had problems with locked brakes reversing them sorts the problem out.Bryan. Hi Bryan... Are refering to go to the Control, Axis within FSX and check the little box that says "reverse" next to "toe right" and "toe left" ?By far the best way to configure hardware is via the registered version of FSUIPC.I have yoke & pedals with ZERO axis assigned in FSX. All done with FSUIPC & MUCH better! Hi Dougals are you using Saitek or CH ? I believe FSUIPC is a piad product corrct ?

I have a Saitek Pedals and Yoke.Turn up the brake sensitivity slightly and you'll be fixed. I had the same problem until I barely moved that slider. It only takes a slight adjustment to get them to "unlock."Scott Scott
December 5, 201015 yr Hi Bryan... Are refering to go to the Control, Axis within FSX and check the little box that says "reverse" next to "toe right" and "toe left" ?Saitek pedals using payware FSUIPC.Should imagine it works the same way within FS though.Byran.
