February 2, 201313 yr None of the above - www.flypfc.com I've been using a CH Yoke and CH pedals for many years and have been rather happy with them but now I'm thinking of maybe investing into something more "real" and what flypfc has to offer seems very impressive but just found out that if I would order a yoke and pedals from them only the shipment cost to Sweden would be approx $1200. Does someone know if there's a European dealer for their products? Couldn't find anything about it when checking their homepage. Or maybe there are other equal products that can be found in Europe, anyone who knows?
February 2, 201313 yr Ive had them all and while the Saitek looks nice and the buttons are functional it isn't made very well in my estimation. The CH yokes Ive had were all better made but the latest version with the goofy layout and design is way too unrealistic for me. I have been using PFC yokes for a few years on my cockpits and they are miles above anything else and they have a very realistic feel. Mind you, the price is considerably more but you'll never go back to the other two. Ron W
February 2, 201313 yr Commercial Member Does a home-built one count? lol I am planning on building my own Cessna Yoke using this guy as an inspiration... I will buy a real C172 yoke from eBay and build it... http://www.simprojects.nl/flight_yoke_(generation_ii).htm Regards, Efrain RuizLiveDISPATCH @ http://www.livedispatch.org (CLOSED) ☹️
February 2, 201313 yr Microscopic edge to Saitek because of nicer design/looks, but neither are any good. Saly, no other alternative in this price range. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
February 2, 201313 yr If you really want to spend some serious $ you can get PFC to custom build something for you. I have a King Air PFC yoke with an extended shaft that allows me to place an LCD screen directly above it behind the panel for gauges. The yoke come out underneath just like in the real plane. Very cool. Ron W
February 2, 201313 yr Pffft, Ace yoke much better Http://www.737yoke.com They sure look impressive but I need a yoke that I'm able to attach to my desk. I really do hope though I'll one day have the space, money and time it would take to build a cockpit at home. February 3, 201313 yr Ive had them all and while the Saitek looks nice and the buttons are functional it isn't made very well in my estimation. I don't doubt I wouldn't want to go back to the cheaper plastic ones after trying a PFC yoke but back to my main question, is there anyone who knows if there's any chance to get one in Europe because no matter how much I would like one I would have a really hard time justifying a purchase where only the shipping alone would cost me almost as much as the yoke itself
February 3, 201313 yr Does someone know if there's a European dealer for their products? In spain official reseller for europe http://www.dutifristore.com/ check Word Not Allowed review http://#####.wordpress.com/pfc-saab-yoke-review/
February 3, 201313 yr Check out www.aviationmegastore.com In Amsterdam I believe Thanks, will check it out! In spain official reseller for europe http://www.dutifristore.com/ check Word Not Allowed review http://#####.wordpress.com/pfc-saab-yoke-review/ Thanks mate!
February 3, 201313 yr In spain official reseller for europe http://www.dutifristore.com/ check Word Not Allowed review http://#####...ab-yoke-review/ I checked out this Spanish reseller but I had a hard time navigating the site since everything is in Spanish and there's no option to choose any other language. I tried finding out what it would cost in total including shipping to Sweden but it appeared as if I had to register first and when trying to do so I could only find Spain in the list of countries so that makes me wonder if they actually sell their products outside Spain. Anyway I managed to find a way to fill out a contact form where I sent them my question in English so now I'm looking forward hearing back from them and depending what the cost will be maybe and just maybe  I'll try to convince myself I can justify this HUGE cost!! One other question, I noticed there are two models...one with something called Hall sensors and one without but I never really understood what these sensors are in if the model which have them included would be worth the extra money? I read Word Not Allowed's review where he mentions these sensors and as I understood it they are somehow a better alternative to the normal potentiometers but again....still not sure if it would be good getting the version with them or if I would be equally happy without them and saving me roughly 200 Euros.
February 3, 201313 yr Hall sensors very much worth the money. Regular potentiometers get dirty over time and start to spike as the two surfaces make actual contact. Hall sensors don't touch, and don't spike. No periodic cleaning needed and no spiking issues. John Skibo
