December 16, 201015 yr Author Eventually got a response via email just after posting here. What a coincidence. The power of Avsim?!Turns out I cannot save flights/situations/FMC etc in the Citation X which is a pity. This IS a simulation? Anyway thanks to the Flight1 Wrapper am getting a refund so off to spend my hard-earned money on something else this Christmas. For anyone thinking of buying the Citation X from Eaglesoft:Pro's: Great exterior visuals. Nice sounds. Extensive systems simulation.Con's: 2D and VC ok unless you zoom in but not as good quality as the Flight1 Islander, PMDG or RealAir products. And as mentioned above, no way to save cockpit setup so each time you load a flight you have to go through setting everything up again. That's my totally unbiased and independent mini-review! It didn't do it for me but am sure it will/has for many others:)Merry Holidays, Happy Christmas, Bon Noel! etc etc Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. Internet: 1 Gig Fibre. HoneyComb Throttle & Flight System. UK PPL since 2006 current on PA-28, C-152, C172, Decathlon, C-42 based at EGHP.

It would take very, very little for things to go horribly, horribly wrong with a saved flight. It is seriously impractical to do this because the support level (fixing people's screw ups) would run into the tens of thousands of dollars in manhours. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
December 17, 201015 yr Moderator And as mentioned above, no way to save cockpit setup so each time you load a flight you have to go through setting everything up again. That's a bit misleading. You can -in fact- save the a/c in a fully-live state (i.e., not cold-and-dark). You can also save any flightplans and reload them at any time, meaning that one could pretty much load and fly in less than three minutes.Of course, learning how to do this might actually take a tiny bit longer than six or so hours... :( Fr. December 18, 201015 yr With the levelD 767 you can save cockpit and FMC setups from previous flights so it can't be too hard. Have just purchased the Citation X and initial impressions are quite favourable. However, I have had some difficulty following the included example flight tutorial (I don't seem to be able to select the RIIVR Approach Transition in the Citation X FMC). So I registered for Eaglesoft forum and after logging in expected to find a mine of useful tips from the developer & users etc. Instead what I did find was a lot of forums with zero posts. Where do you go if you want some tips on flying this bird?Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Well it says I am logged in and I am looking at the Cessna Citation X Extreme V2.0 forums - there are three of these, FS9 support, FSX support and FSX knowledge. The first two have zero topics and zero posts, the third has 11 posts from your good self the most recent being dated July 11. Is there something I am missing here? Yes I have looked at the YouTube videos.Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. December 18, 201015 yr Moderator Indeed! There are 10 pages of posts in the CX 2.0 forum... ;) Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
December 19, 201015 yr In the forums, at the bottom you will see this: "Display topics from previous:" It has a drop-down list... select 'All Topics' from that list and you'll see the posts.Sorry but I don't see "Display topics from previous" at the bottom. All I can see is at the top "view unanswered posts" (this does give posts with no answers and consequently of limited use) and also "view unread posts","view new posts" and "view active topics" if I click on any of these all I get is "no suitable matches found! Furthermore at the bottom there is something very odd "Total posts 32 • Total topics 32 • Total members 3 • Our newest member Bruceb (ie me). Is that all he activity there is?Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. December 19, 201015 yr Indeed! There are 10 pages of posts in the CX 2.0 forum... ;)Perhaps you would be so kind as to give me the correct URL for this forum as clearly I am in a very different place. All I did was to register at what I thought was the Eaglesoft forum (after googling) and then clicking on the URL that came with the acknowledgement email. Thanks.Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide.
