December 29, 201015 yr People,After the AirSimmer Warning thread, I believed it was all over. but, suddenly, AirSimmer released v1.3 of their addon. A/P and A/T problems have been fixed, CTDs have been fixed and some sound bugs. And, what I find to be a great addition: full panel saving ahs been enabled. Those that own the addon, please downloa,d install, and post what you think. With panel saving enabled, I might actually go for it, depending on how good the addon is now. December 29, 201015 yr I did not have a chance to try it yet. I am most curious to see if the CTD issues are fixed. Al Stiff
December 29, 201015 yr Dont know about all ctd's but i do know that i have to still load the default cessna first or i get a ctd Chris Howard
December 29, 201015 yr Commercial Member Dont know about all ctd's but i do know that i have to still load the default cessna first or i get a ctdBelow is what I posted on the main site. Keep in mind I never saw half the issues others where reporting. Since I wrote it I've flown back to Bahrain and I'm just about to pushback and test it on a 3 hour flight to Cairo.Just completed a quick hop from Bahrain - Doha CFM version after instaling the latest patch. Below is outline of what has and has not been fixed on my setup.Firstly I never got any CTD's after installing the latest AIRACS so cant comment.T/O pitch trim is still not working, I've mentioned before that they modeled ground mode correctly however it has a bug - After landing pitch trim should reset to zero, with the AS A320 pitch trim also resets to zero on taxi out, this means by the time you reach the active your trim is incorrect. And as another user pointed out even if you set the correct trim on the active runway by the time you reach VR your trim is at zero. Still unable to change Vapp on the aproach page (not a bug but annoying)Flex still gives a lower N1 then CLB Thrust (again not a bug but I cant see how hard that would be to change)Good points - Autothrust is lot more stable on approach, 99% of my approaches are A/P off A/T thrust off. Thats still my prefered way of doing it however at least I have the option to use all the automatics now. Aircraft holds speed correctly, the Autothrust can still surge but doesn't cause a massive speed increase/reduction like before in certain situations.Autopilot banks a lot more slowly, personaly from my limited time in LVLD sims I prefered how it was before, it feels like they really toned things down too much. Same for handflying, it could be in my head but it now feels like any other addon. Handflying the AS A320 was my main reason for sticking with this product however it feels diffrent now for some reason. So to sum it up, if it works as well on other systems as it does on mine then I think this will become the A320 of choice due to, well.. not much choice out there, I was expecting the long wait to mean no more patches but I can't see that being the case. December 29, 201015 yr How you doing Rob? i see your doing there customer support job for them again! Anyway thanks for putting your findings up for us mate, very helpfull as always, they should take note. I must be honest i installed the patch and had a little whizz about and didnt find anything impressive, infact i started feeling a bit paranoid....have they actually fixed anything i asked myself but from your report they must have i just havent noticed myself. I'll give it another go later Chris Howard
December 29, 201015 yr I'm in the middle of a flight as we speak with the new update. So far everything is going pretty well. I'm having some problems with the engines reacting to my throttle. That may just be a calibration issue on my end. I'm happy with the way the aircraft handles with the autopilot. The aircraft seems to hold the assigned airspeed pretty well. We'll see how she hand flies on approach. I'll report back after I'm at the gate in Boston.

I know what you mean about wondering if anything got fixed, for example the pushback issue is still there, you cant select IGN/Start until the aircraft turns, seems like such a basic thing that could have been resolved.Regards Rob Prest
December 29, 201015 yr OK, On the ground in Boston. Right after my initial post, it turned into Mr. Pigs wild ride. The flight plan called for about a 30 degree left turn. The A\P initiated the turn in the right place but then proceeded to chase the flight path. Turn, level turn level. As I came out of the turn the aircraft started to rock so violently that the A\P shut off. I had to level the aircraft and then reengage the A\P.It did the same thing again. Eventually it stopped and everything was pretty quiet until it was time for the approach. As I was descending and ATC was giving me speed restrictions, I found that my speed brakes didn't work. It's real hard to hit your approach when you're going 180kts. I missed the approach the first time, hand flew a 360 and got it on the ground. I'm going to give it a few more tries before I throw in the towel on this latest effort. This was with the IAE version which has had some known problems.
December 29, 201015 yr Author Right... I'm holding off on buying this again. The Wilco has ben working very well for me lately and I had some very nice and quiet flights with it. I don't see the ASA320 being any better, so I see no reason to switch. I hope it'll become better in the future (I must have said that at least four times now. Once after the release, and then again after each update). December 29, 201015 yr Right installed it for the millionth time to see if things are any better. Immediate I can see that one of the fixes from the list ISN'T fixed (startup sounds still have a pause in them). Ultimately though, and this was always my biggest gripe, it still handles like a completely drunk F16 manually so it's been promptly uninstalled again. Clum not sure what your talking about regarding manual flight, check your joystick sensitivity settings, my sensitivity and null zone are both full left. Rob Prest
December 29, 201015 yr Where the heck is my 2D panel now? Its goofed up!Sorry I just had to REactivate it

We take 1 step forward and 1 step back.
