January 28, 201115 yr Commercial Member Sounds great! Will the released AOA 737NGX Training be complete at the first day? MichaelKnittlHey Michael,We will have training available the day the 737NGX comes out. With that said, that doesn't mean we'll actually have the aircraft before the public. We'd like to, but that's up to PMDG and not us, so I want to make that very much clear. With that said, it doesn't mean that we can't start from Day 0 and give some great video tutorials on this bird in one way or another. I know that sounds very vague but we're just trying to work with the details of the training and with PMDG to make sure that we get a great training product out there that compliments their manuals, our teaching style, and also the style of Mike Ray. So, we're working on some pretty amazing concepts right now, some of which we've already shared, and we are hoping to have great training from Day 0. Hope that helps, although vague. Throttle On! I can't be in all places at once. If you see someone is having an issue with an Angle of Attack product, or something that should be brought to my attention, please message me. I want everyone to have a stellar experience with AOA. Thanks so much! Chris Palmer Founder/President Angle of Attack
January 29, 201115 yr Not gonna bother with angle of attack! Im just going to wait for someone on youtube to make one or watch an fs2004 tutorial on youtube (if there is a difference between the ngx and fs2004 version) Joe Barton

Im just going to wait for someone on youtube to make one or watch an fs2004 tutorial on youtube (if there is a difference between the ngx and fs2004 version)From what I have seen from AoA (demonstration video, MD-11) user made youtube tutorials while good won't come near what AoA does.Personally I am interested in AoA videos/tutorials/training if they come near release for the NGX, I never signed up for the MD-11 training because It became available I spent years learning it though all means I could find (hands on, manuals etc)and there shouldn't be all that much left that I haven't gone through before (while forgetting some of it :( ) Jay Vorkapic

I used them for the B744 & I have to tell you that Chris does an excellent job covering all the systems & procedures. A few hours of video is easily worth more than 3 weeks with your nose in a manual. Whenever the NGX is released I can guarantee my 2nd purchase will be at AoA. February 6, 201115 yr Commercial Member thank you chris, i really enjoyed your md11 training! i hope you will get a chance by pmdg to get the bird during the beta.i wish you and your team the best for 2011best regards, michaelThanks a Million, Michael! We are working hard to do some very special things for this NGX, that's for sure ;)Ahhhhhh Im just being cheap. But youtube tutorials are quite good! There some very good professionals out there making good ones You get what you pay for. In the case of free, you get a very watered down and unprofessional video. In the case of AOA videos, you'll get a very professional and complete set of tutorials, without all the searching, and honestly, 'opinions' on the correct way to fly it. We teach you the real way, with great visuals, and enjoyable teaching methods. You can't find that on Youtube, so good luck ;) I can't be in all places at once. February 6, 201115 yr I feel pretty ripped off by the MD-11 AoA. It adds very little to the product, if you already have been through the two tutorials. And they don't seem very competent in the flight planning aspect. For instance they don't include winds, and it all seems a bit superficial. If they had added a tutorial session with a real MD-11 pilot and dispatcher, things would have been a bit more interesting, but the AoA tutorials are just made by desktop simmers.Unimpressed and a waste of money, overpriced and overpraised.
February 6, 201115 yr Commercial Member I don't mean to be rude here, but being 2011, I'm sure everyone here has seen YouTube. Type in 'PMDG' and 'tutorial' and you'll find a wealth of them for the various products. I know one above post dismissed YouTube - yes, most of the sources there are squeaky, less than knowledgeable 13 year olds who just show you how to run PMDG's written tutorials, it's at least the visual version of the text version that you're finding too unclear.
