Have to say I love the weather in Ontario Canada about -8 degrees today sunny and will probably going skiing five minutes up the road and then it is like someone turns a switch in the summer with temps in the 30's and a beautiful lake also five minutes away with a beautiful beach for boating and swimming etc Big%20Grin.gif. What a great country.Sean MooreFormerly from EIDW now a proud and new Canadian.

I suppose my favorite would be whatever it's doing outside my window. Big%20Grin.gif
As for weather I like to fly in, I don't really have a favorite. I get home from work around 7:30am and after being at the airport all night watching planes take off and land I usually go for a quick hop from CYEC to CYYC or CYVR using real-world weather and for the last couple months its usually been snow and/or fog (here anyway). I cant wait for the NGX [...]
I also like to fly "whatever it's doing outside my window". I always use real-world weather in FS but sometimes I try to find some stormy weather, with moderate to heavy winds (preferentially crosswinds) and almost no visibility. I love flights in hard IFR conditions.I also wish I lived near an airport. Actually, my apartment is 1-1,5 miles from an Air Force base. From my balcony I can see a C-130 Hercules doing a parachute training some times and can see them landing. But I like the airliners. I like to see jet engines, you know... From my balcony the only airliners I can see are miles away in final approach for runway 10 at SBGL and others flying exactly over my house executing AFONSOS 2 STAR to SBRJ.I can't wait for NGX too. After I get mine I'll go for a world tour. I already have every leg planed and have all the flightplans I'll need with a help from vRoute. I already have weather with ASE. Just need textures, a better ATC, a more complete traffic and a performance calculator. REX, Radar Contact or ProFlight Emulator (still not decided. Any opinions???), Ultimate Traffic 2 and TOPCAT. I just don't have the money yet :(.

Hey! That looks awesome. I think I'll move in to Ontario :(! Take a look at this video. I found it months ago and now I found it again so I thought I should share this with you. It's one year old and has a lot of views, so maybe many of you have already watched, but it's worth to watch again. And again. And again. And... ENOUGH!!!

Alaska actually does fly PANC to Hawaii directly. From Bellingham, Sea-Tac, PDX, and SFO as well.

No one is happy with is own weather...Big%20Grin.gifBTW, i love rainy with some wind...not too stormy and not too foggy, an half way...Cheers,
Not everybody likes the same...I HATE rain and wind. But snow is nice, sometimes it gives some troubles but when we have more snow that should be solved. Also, cold isn't a problem for me, at least untill -10 or -15C I don't bother, -50 might be a bit too cold...Also I HATE more as 20C outside, you can't sim properly because the room gets very hot. Maybe not a problem in countries where everyone has aircon, here most people don't have that... And in generall such a temperature is useless...Dion Mollert

+1. Unfortunately in my city I have to deal with 30 to 35°C in a normal day. It gets very stressful to fly a complex airplane when it's too hot. In my case I can't think propelly, I usually forget some items, lose patience to do checklists... I have 2 air conditionings but it's very expensive to leave them on all day. I really don't understand how can people like hot days.

Where did you get that Cr@p from???
Brizzie, it's almost verbatim from the 737 MRG by Patt Boone.

I have to agree with Matheus when he says he hates the hot weather. I live about an hour south of Melbourne Australia and this part I the world can get very hot during summer. Luckily this summer has been cool so far with only a few days above 35, and not too many above 30. I hate it when its hot as we dont have airconditioning an the pc is upstairs, so it gets really hot in that room. Today it is only gonna be 19 :). Shame bout the wind though as I would have liked to have gone for a fly. Overall, Melbourne has good weather, even though you can have 4 seasons In one day. it dosent get too cold in winter which is good, maybee once I have noticed it drop bellow 0 overnight and never during the day. If you stay inside with the fire going you will stay very warm. This talk has made me think about one of the reasons I love This forum, It is a place where people from anywhere in the world can come together and talk about the thing they love. It shows you that no matter where you come from, what age you are, (I'm 16 and know there are others even younger who reguarly participate in disscussions,) you can be part of the community. Flightsim is also a great hobby to use to learn about the world. We can learn where places are and what they look like, and by talking with other members of the community we can learn about life on the other side of the world, and realize that It is barely differnt to the lives we live in our own country's/ city's.

When you say "south" do you mean Tasmania, or the direction I'd call north here haha?

Good for you. Rio is a bit higher on the map so here is usually a "bit" hotter. You said today is only gonna be 19? Today was only 39 here. The funny thing is that only in Southeast shoreside of Brazil that is not rainning. Everywhere else is rainning almost everyday.Being so, Melbourne looks like a good place to live. Not too cold, not too hot...What a coincidence. I'm 16 too for 2 days 10 hours and 50 minutes. That's what I like in this forum too. We "see" people from everywhere having a nice talk about things we all like, in this case, aviation.

I stand corrected. Last I saw, it was all out of Seattle

Very true, but be particularly sure to try a complex turboprop like the JS4100. The performance drop and resulting decreased margin of error in procedures is absolutely excellent. There's nothing like departing KASE (Aspen, CO-airport elevation 7,820' MSL) on a hot summer day. Depending on the temp and resulting DA, the JS4100 sometimes just flat out can not take off. Absolutely a blast and, hey, it just makes you stronger.Eric Szczesniak
