Not familiar with the 737 types. So a question:Are these 737's able to fly VOR Radials/Courses?Asking because the Queen needs special programming in the FMC, while the MD11 has this VOR TRACK feature build into the FMS, but does not perform correctly.Anyway I will buy the 737NGX. when it is released, to find an answer to my question.Regards,Harry

How is it not performed correctly in the MD11? It works correctly for me. Also for the 737, its going to be easier than it's older cousin the 744 as you don't need to do any special programming. Just tune the navaid on the radio panel and select the radial with the CRS knob. If you want, use VORLOC on the MCP to have the Autopilot fly the radial.

People are always pushing for a release date, and I've been guilty of that myself. When you think about it though, PMDG is developing toward a broader base of customers than most developers. I believe they develop first toward their own simulation standards; then to Boeing who has been cooperative in providing data for development; and finally to the individual consumers. I'm just speculating here, but that mindset would bring out the perfectionist approach that we're accustomed to seeing. That's all good! So I see delays differently now, understanding that maybe they're looking to impress Boeing, and not just us. :(

I'm just hoping that the Aussie dollar will still be at parity with the USD when it is release :)

The 777, as well as the newer versions of the 737, 747-8 and the 787 shows charts in the Eletronic Flight Bag, or simply EFB. There's one for each pilot. The EFB is part of the "paperless cockpit", since it eliminates the need of carrying a lot of navigation charts and performance charts as well, also because the EFB is able to do all the needed performance calculations as well as the FMC. Also, there isn't the need of carrying checklists too because now these planes have eletronic checklists made via one of the EICAS screens.

Probably not because they would have to build a HUGE database of charts even only from the major airports in the world and probably we would have to pay a lot more for the plane with all the charts or we'd have to buy them separately. That's because I assume that PMDG would have to buy them and probably resolve some copyright issues before being able to legally distribute these charts within the sim.
