February 10, 201115 yr Hi,As some of you guys might have noticed I've been out of the forum for a couple of weeks.Unfortunately I was not here when some nasty events happened. Some struggles between members but that's the normal forum's bundle and I am satisfied the problem is over now <_< and also the "death" of one of our member, Chris.Alex, another active member, was the one who informed us of Chris accident. It was very hard and sad for all of us who shared something with Chris. It was also very surprizing to hear that because Chris was supposed to join back the forum (after I banned him for a couple of weeks for his harsh attitude on this forum) the same day he had this tragic accident. Some other small details were quite strange in our eyes.So we made a quick investigation..Ohhh no, we didn't ask the services of an Intelligence Agency whatsoever..We just found out that Chris and Alex used a few times the same IP, that's all.One was supposed to live in California, the second one in Australia but according to Alex they were closed friends.Because we are not particularly more idiot than the average we concluded that Chris was virtually killed by his virtual friend Alex because they were the same individual. Why?I don't know, I have learned aviation, not psychiatry.I can only imagine that Alex wanted to kill two birds with one stone.Firstly, to get rid of a troublesome character he created and who was borderline here and also probably to gain sympathy on this forum (...).I won't comment on this event anymore because for me it is particularly hard for personnal reasons that broke my own life five months ago.But I will always be amazed by human capability to be sadly ridiculous sometimes.I am glad to be back to our crazy but interesting and friendly hardware forum and I am happy to see it clean now from all kind of cuckoos. :--)Best regards,David - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
February 10, 201115 yr The day this happened, I had a weird instinct that this is actually what happened. Its kind of funny, if you look at both "members" sig, they have some strikingly similarities in format. In fact, they share some of the same components even! How did I not see this before. I feel like an idiot lolEDIT: Oh, "Alex" happened to sign up the day after he last logged in and their date of births on each profile are very close to each other.I will be honest, Chris failed on this one.One last edit: I wonder if he set his CPU to the 2600K in his specs cause he realized that the 2600K was just as good as his 1000$ CPUGonna bold what is the same in each sig.Kind Regards,Alex SarfatiPrimary Components: i7-2600k @ 4.8GHz @ 1.34V | 8GB Mushkin Redline 1600MHz CL7 @ 1.5V | eVGA GTX580 | Asus P8P67-Pro | Coolermaster HAF X | Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 1000W |Cooling: Corsair H70 Closed Loop Liquid Cooling SystemHard Drives: 1x 150GB VRap (OS) | 1x 450GB VRap SATAIII (FSX) | WD Caviar Black 1TB 64MB |Displays: Samsung Syncmaster BX2450 24" LED 1920x1080 | 23" LG LCD TV 1360x768 100Hz | 19" Asus 1280x1024 |Peripherals: Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Gaming Keyboard | Microsoft Sidewinder X8 Gaming Mouse 4000DPi |Software: FSX + Acceleration | Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit | PMDG 747x | Captain Sim 757 | Level-D 767 | Aerosoft AirbusX | Flight1 Super 80 Pro | REX2 | GEX | UT2 | UTX | Aerosoft
February 10, 201115 yr Well, I'm very happy he's not dead anyway. If he made it all up was probably just to switch to SB after he was convinced it would be an upgrade over his 980X. Just my theory

February 10, 201115 yr David,I guess I never give a thought that things might be different than what anyone says. Why would anyone make up stories and yarns?? After Chris "died" I went investigating too and searched every online news source in Brisbane including the obituaries without success. Although there were motorcycle accidents, there were none at the time specified to a younger man anywhere in Western Australia. After that I had a young fellow from Australia in our prop club take a look and he found nothing either and had concluded that something was wrong. It was puzzling. Thank you for clearing this all up. As Spock would say "fascinating" but strange.Kind regards,

February 10, 201115 yr StevenI've always admired a man who can't tell his Perth from his Brisbane, :Big Grin: What a bizarre and strange story! Truth is certainly stranger than fiction!RegardsPeterH
