Love the plane but why does fuel vent heat affect engine torque? And too bad that the engine is too slow responding for a pt6 .
Hi Kimo,The fuel vent issue will be fixed in Sp1, as will a whole lot of other improvements requested. You can have engine spool up very quick in FSX turboprops. Unfortunately this also makes engine rpm grossly overspeed before settling down on start up. This is because the turboprop governer params in FSX are insufficient and poor in execution and do not properly govern rpm fluctuations. If you look at the default turboprops, you'll see rpm fluctuating when changing throttle settings but this is largely hidden by the fact that sounds are incorrectly linked to throttle instead of throttle PLUS prop rpm.Having said that, I've never seen any turboprop pilot whack the throttles forward fast, as you can do with piston prop engines, so in fact the Duke spool up is in practice no slower than is used by careful pilots.Regards,Rob Young

Hi Rob, will the night lightning issue also be addressed in SP1?

Best regards, Steffen

Thanks rob for the quick response. Good to hear you are working on a service pack for my favourite aircraft :(

Hi Steffen,By night lighting, do you mean the interior lighting of the panel switches? If so, yes, we are revising this. However because of the limited number of standard interior lights we don't propose to change the atmosphere of the current lighting which keeps the cabin relatively dark. But we will make the switches easier to see.Regards,Rob - RealAir

Thanks Rob for this update. When can we expect it? In the nearer future or will it take some time?

Best regards, Steffen

Damn plane !It had to generated my first random engine failure, when, I was approaching LOWI, with crosswind, shear, snow and low visibility :Shocked:Anyway successful landing :biggrin:I was quite impressed with the speed you still get from a single engine.

I just noticed you don't get a click spot on the turbine duke std GPS to bring up the large 2D GPS window. It's on the piston version. Have I missed something?PVE

Yeah, a paint kit would be great. Although I´m not an repainter.

Yes there will be a paint kit too. Lot's of stuff to address, hence it won't happen instantly.regards,Rob - RealAir

Perfect! That's all I wanted to hear.

Really? When I click on the GPS screen in the VC I do get a 2D pop-up of the GPS on mine.
