Absolute brilliant... You HAVE to read the manual.. especially start-up... If you going to try and start it as other default turbo's you in for a huge surprise..Please read the start instructions. if you follow the start instructions as per manual she is a little kitten that purr into life... but beware if you dont..

Especially that the sound change as you change the prop setting.. Just love it..!

Well, I think this is the first turboprop for Flight Simulator to correctly model the sounds of the engine. The prop sounds are linked to the pitch of the blades and not the throttles. This aircraft is remarkable!Here are some screens from my first flight with the RTDuke: Royal Turbine Duke Takes to the Skies

Did a quick flight, man she is fast...

Cheers,

Thomas

Most of the switches in the Dukes use default assignments so setting them up with hardware is easy. I've only had to make two Lua entries so far, one for the inverter switch and another for the Master Warning Reset button.

if ipcPARAM == 1 then        LVarSet = "L:Duke_Inverter_Switch"        val = 0        if ipc.readLvar(LVarSet) == 0  then        val = 1        end        ipc.writeLvar(LVarSet, val)           	end			if ipcPARAM == 2 then        LVarSet = "L:MW_Reset"        val = 0        if ipc.readLvar(LVarSet) == 0  then        val = 1        end        ipc.writeLvar(LVarSet, val)           	end

Cheers, Andy.

Another amazing RealAir plane, looks great, flies great, sounds great ! A must have ! Just one regret : why no state of the art "lotussim lights" ? That would have been the icing on the cake.

KInd regards

Gorgeous plane! Masterful. The sounds, as mentioned, are just fantastic. And the reflections are superb as well, on the GPS and panel. Just awesome all the way around. The exterior, well, stunning. And the performance is going to keep me in this plane for quite a while.Great job Real Air! Always a pleasure to purchase your products.

I've bought some planes in my time but this one..........Is definitely the best yet. Well, in it's class. Certainly at the top of my all time favourites. :(

This was well worth the wait. Just completed the first flight and couldn't be happier with the purchase. Thanks Rob/Sean!

Just completed my first 2 flights, and the last one at KSEA (where it's presently raining...so what else is new?). I am so impressed with this "Steroid Duke", and its sounds that it's hard to express just how much I regard this purchase as absolutely one of my best! The rain on the windshield are also a phenomenal plus.Stan

This is the first plane since the L-39 that I fell instantly in love! Takes off so fast it will give you whiplash and stops so fast it'll give you a nosebleed! Beautiful in every way!Kind regards,PS: Thanks Robert, thanks for going above and beyond to help, and the great plane!

Not sure if this is an oversight or if anyone else has noticed. The switches labelled "Fuel Vent Left/Right" activate L/R Engine de-ice in the Upper left hand-side of the right-hand side warning lights panel. Is this just a case of mislabelling?

I'm trying to start up the Duke from cold and dark. I can't control the fuel switches between the seats. They seem to have no interaction zone. Where do you access and turn on the fuel then?!?!? 'Set Fuel Tank Levers to the ON position' WHERE!?!?!?!?!?I'm sitting on the runway dead as a doornail....:(I didn't want to have the engines running upon start up.

Click and drag works fine for me. Or the mouse wheel should work too. Just click on the center of the selectors for each side.Also, be sure your physical camera view is not obstructed by a part of the mdl (ie the seats etc), then the clickspots won't work. This holds true for any FSX plane in the VC.
