Real Air Turbine Duke looks ready for takeoff!

Click and drag works fine for me. Or the mouse wheel should work too. Just click on the center of the selectors for each side. Also, be sure your physical camera view is not obstructed by a part of the mdl (ie the seats etc), then the clickspots won't work. This holds true for any FSX plane in the VC.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Nope...looking straight down...and absolutely NO click spots anywhere on the levers between the seats. A total bummer....I'm going to fire up FSX again and try it once more. I even tried CTRL-E and only got a brief spool and nothing else. Not a good start after having bought it.....I went back to the config and clicked 'engines running at startup...' and even that didn't take even though the config said that my settings were saved.Just tried again. The fuel levers (the two red fuel levers) have absolutely no click spots or interaction. They are completely dead with my installation. I clicked upon every square CM of the levers.Going to bed...and I am REALLY NOT HAPPY.......not happy at all....... G'night all.

Hi Sesquashtoo,When you roll your mouse over the actual red fuel selector, does your mouse pointer change from an arrow to a hand? If it does then it indicates that the click spots are working and you should be able to move the levers. You need to click and drag left or right rather than up/down like most of the other levers. If the mouse pointer doesn't change then something is definitely not right. Send me an email and we'll see what we can do.Sean MoloneyRealAir Simulations

Sean....I get nothing whatsoever. There is no change from the 'arrow' symbol of my mouse pointer. I will reinstall and see what happens. I'll send you an email with the results. I can't believe that I'm the only one to be 'grounded'. What luck.....Post Edit. I reinstalled the Duke. I fired the Duke up with the 'engines running' and they were upon loading it into FSX. But...absolutely no 'hand' or any change whatsoever when moving over the entire fuel console, let alone the switches themselves. No hand symbol. I do get the hand symbol on the rest of the cockpit. You definitely have a bug to fix...!Mitch

----------------------------------------------------------------Sean, I just emailed you with some particulars. I sure hope you can help on this. I was so looking forward to this release!Post Edit, Sean and I have been in email contact, and a temporary solution for myself is being sent....and with thanks. Just wanted this post to reflect that fact. The switches just started to be able to be controlled by the 'hand' symbol totally on their own. I don't know what gives...but they are now accessible for the time being and this FSX session.Mitch

So good to see people backing up their products in any way possible.I doubt they make much money off of this, yet they are so dedicated to their work, and to giving us all the help they can.Off topic I know, but passion and dedication in this day and age need to be acknowledged and reinforced whenever possible.

Good news....I found out what was happening to my Duke Turbine installation.Somehow, my start-up for 'Complex Aircraft' must have gotten corrupted in some way.I got the idea to reapply that start-up file, and after having done so, and then calling up the Duke from the 'hangar'.....the fuel levers now work. So, if anybody else has an issue with the fuel levers not working by not having the 'hand' icon show up when trying to move them....just reapply your Start Up for Complex Aircraft and see if that also helps you.Mitch

Great to hear you got it figured out.Happy Turbine flying!!! Sean. Thanks to you and Rob and your team for bringing true Turbine Characteristics to FSX.The New Duke is Phenomenal!! I couldn't be Happier!!Big%20Grin.gif

So it was not a bug at all... LOLyeah that's normally the reaction when something does not work..!Rob / Sean and Realair.. Awesome stuff..

Just had my first flight, fantastic stuff - she is a bit feisty on "launch" (seems more appropriate than takeoff).......G

Love the plane but why does fuel vent heat affect engine torque? And too bad that the engine is too slow responding for a pt6 .

They're working on a SP for the first issue and many people who fly planes with PT6's say it's accurate in the realm of what FSX can do regarding turbines.
