March 9, 201115 yr I much prefer the liveries of the 50's and 60's, vs the "all white fuselage with letters over the windows" approach of today... It is a trait of human life that we like to stay in the rut that we are used to and resist change. The present website is somewhat dated now and although I am not a designer I think that we do need a more modern design.Just imagine if airlines still used the designs of the 1950s and 1960s!! We wouldn't have the wonderful array of fantastically painted aircraft that we can see around the world today.David Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
March 9, 201115 yr I have to laugh reading this thread. I mean, this is the FS9 forum right? What should we expect :)scott s..
March 10, 201115 yr Interesting point Scott...Many people rejected FSX because they felt it wasn't a big improvement over what they already had and found it difficult to use. We've seen similar opinions about the new forum and library software as compared to the prior version. Of course you are referring to FS9'ers as unable to adapt and change, but still, it shows people will not shift from something they like unless you make it worthwhile.

March 11, 201115 yr I was fearing that we would be losing all the shortcuts to the Library files we've been doing here in the forums because of the format change... too much knowledge to lose in a single day. Let's hope they don't change the Library system so that links don't end up broken.Best regards from Colombia,Luis Miguel Best regards,Luis Hernández Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. March 11, 201115 yr I do not understand that mania for CHANGE.Why changing something that has worked OK for years ? Good to see the old format is back.I agree to 110%!/Jonny
March 11, 201115 yr I can understand Tom wanting to update the front page etc., in attempt to move with the times. I think the design was too cramped though and when I first saw it, I thought I was at Flightsim.com!The decoration around the outside was taking up too much room leaving a smaller area for people to read from. That I didn't like. If it returns, I'll have to buy a larger screen Tom :( The old setup gives Avsim distinction and is the best IMO. We all love this format, so why change? Dave Taylor
