What's New PMDG

Featured Replies

I am guessing they are not doing an airbus since there is over 9000 airbus' on the market for flight sim now.
Such as the brand new Airbus X. It's an awesome detailed bird, super nice. However, I'm not really an Airbus flyer. Prefer the NGX :D

Some other developer is making a payware A380 for FS9 and FSX. I just can't remember their name or website address. From what I did see, it looked fantastic.

That would be Next Level Simulations of Germany. Visually their A380 looks very good indeed. It remains to be seen however, if they can replicate the A380 systems. Mind you, If it's at least better than, say Wilco or Aerosoft then it's a must-have, for sure.

But none of those cover the serious niche that PMDG is in. Just Flight, Airsimmer and Aerosoft are nice to look at but lack depth. I am sure FSL can deliver a decent product, however I'd love a PMDG A32X, alas I don't see it happening. Boeing Contract or not, from several comments from PMDG staff in the past I got the impression that, as individuals, they are not too fond of Airbus and more into Boeing airliners. Add to that, that their development schedule is filled until MS Flight hits the market.

NLS in my opinion seemed to be a one-man band who has for some reason decided to complete redevelop his 3d model twice, and given that gauge programming requires far more effort (especially with FBW/Autotrim, which no one right now has gotten close apart from perhaps Airsimmer) it could take years before we see a marketable product. By that time we would probably all be using MS Flight.
They never said that. Stop assuming stuff. I am guessing they are not doing an airbus since there is over 9000 airbus' on the market for flight sim now.
If I could remember what thread that, that was said in, I would link to it - unfortantley this was several months ago. Ill have a look tomorrow before I go off to surgery, but I did not assume anything - I could be possbily mixed up but im sure that something along those lines had been said.
sucking up to PMDG won't get it released any faster either
sorry forgot to put my name...Corey Prefontaine CYEG
We're on US$2.20 / litre for DIESEL! :( Although Unleaded is a little cheaper, but not by much! Cost me £70 ($111) to fill up the other day!
That's gotta hurt - sorry to hear!Let's hope that the whole UN mission make things calm in the oil region - that'll probably give us som cheaper oil by the end of the day...Mas

I don't know whether this is a contractual issue or no,t but PMDG have made a HUGE investment in developing Boeings and turbo props and I would imagine they would stick to what they are good at and leave FSLABs to develop the Airbus range - this makes good commercial sense. I think the market will polarise around a small l number of 'quality' developers with each finding a commercial niche. Others will fall by the wayside.By the way I wish people would stop beggng for updates. Guiys, this isn't a huge coprorate enterprise with operations around the Globe, its a small team of developers (nine I think) producing something quite extraordinary for FSX. I have been involved in software development in the past and I know from first-hand experience that this far from easy- With a new product you test - you make changes and something else breaks - so there is always have a lot of regression testing to do to get it right. The last thing you need are distractions caused by an endless stream of demands for eye-candy.Cut them some slack and let them get on with he job. Everyone should be comforted by PMDGs commitment to quality and support - something truly unique in this industry . They want to produce something that is ultrarealistic and works on your PC without generating a CTD evertime you twiddle a knob. This inevitably takes tiime, be thankful for that, because this culture of quality and support puts them a full head and shoulders over most of the competiuon. This isn't 'sucking up' its a simple statement of fact,

Sure,but after 5 Years Coming Soon,let PMDG please answer self.Whats wrong,if u ask for a commercial product?

PMDG has already answered for themselves. THEY WILL ANNOUNCE BETA. Till then, wait like the rest of us.

To the PMDG Team, I'd like to say that I have all of your products for FSX. With out a doubt, they are the most realistic add ons for FSX. I understand that you want the NGX to be the most realistic add on ever for FSX; however, there is one feature of new Boeing aircraft that I don't think you need to simulate - PRODUCTION DELAYS!Thanks
