August 18, 201114 yr Hi all,Someone mentioned that there is a correction for the CG problems on volume 1. They gave the link which I have inserted below but the link doesn't seem to work for me. Can someone help me out with it?http://airbustakeoffsetings.blogspot.com/2009/01/airbus-a320-cg-correction.html
August 18, 201114 yr The link isn't working anymore. I will e-mail you the file later when I get home. Naif Almazroa My Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Youmou0205

August 25, 201114 yr nam: - And what, in Expert mode, will prevent the vertical climbs and descents in flight? Cos I´m still getting them. Brit: - In theory it is possible to insert a CORoute with one FMC button click - but that´s in theory. I have managed it once.Even though I have the same Airac in my route planner and the Airbus (and all other craft) the Bus always tells me that the "route was made with database "unknown" and the currently installed is "1108":The database is the same but the ´Bus doesnt see that.So you insert the waypoints manually, but not the same way as in a Boeing. This is actually one of the few parts on the "Manual" that is relatively clear and helpful. By pure coincidence just the other day I was looking in the darker regions of my wardrobe and found a 2005 World Air Routes Air Luxor A330 dvd - and there is a slightly more in-depth than usual explanation of some of the finer points of the Airbus FMC - it really does calculate the fuel for you - which helped me quite a bit. But not much help to you unless you have it or want to buy it, sorry. The flight is Frankfurt-Kabul-Frankfurt which is a bit odd for a Portuguese airline, looks almost empty and nobody shows their faces. Sounds an odd combination to me.I know that Portugal sold their souls to the US decades ago and that Lajes was used as a stopover for the kidnapping and torture of foreign citizens by the US Govt, so perhaps this odd flight is all tied in - but why allow the cameras on board? I love a good conspiracy. The time spent on the ground at Kabul is interesting. Apart from some glimpsed military choppers there are UN and other agencies ATRs, King Airs and the ugly duckling Beech 1900 and some real beat-up 727s, but what is most odd in todays security-obsessed world is that there are people just wandering about, apparently doing nothing.Anyway, a bit off the point, but a bit of Airbus curiosity. And now I remember something else about the flight: CI was 999 clear as day on the screen. Does this mean warp-speed and all else be damned, or is there something else involved?
August 26, 201114 yr And now I remember something else about the flight: CI was 999 clear as day on the screen. Does this mean warp-speed and all else be damned, or is there something else involved? Me too did see this when watching one of the films from Justplane (I think it was Air Luxor A330?) and wondering the same as you. August 26, 201114 yr Commercial Member Cost index 999 simply means favour speed/time over fuel economy Regards Rob Prest
August 27, 201114 yr Thanks Flex.Another thing I tought odd was that the FMC gave OPT FL of 305 at the start of both legs but they they paid no attention and went to "Cossover Level" (a phrase I have never before heard or read) and then on up. This "Full-speed-ahead-and-money-no-problem" attitude ties in very nicely with my conspiracy theory: this looks like a US govt flight under civilian guise: "Advisors" sent out and whatever the Afghans had handy to trade sent back to boost the profits of Cheney Inc. I´m actually quite enjoying the Airbus after a long time away from it. If you are prepared to accept - and find a way around - the various shortcomings its a neat little runarbout for when I have little time or no inclination to get too serious. Brit: you figured out the Route input yet?
August 27, 201114 yr Why did i buy this piece of trash? lol VC looks horrible..numurous buttons don't work. Tyred to do a flight today but the FD wouldn't turn on...Ok the external model looks nice but i actually want to fly the thing.
August 28, 201114 yr Tyred to do a flight today but the FD wouldn't turn on. There is something wrong with your installation. I have never had a problem with the FD nor I have heard from someone else. Naif Almazroa My Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Youmou0205
August 28, 201114 yr There is something wrong with your installation. I have never had a problem with the FD nor I have heard from someone else.Maybe because of the brightness. @brit: try click MOUSE3 in the PFD area.
