April 7, 201115 yr Hello Guys, i just want to know if anybody has and Fsx.cfg Tweaks.... also can someone suggest the best addons such as planes and sceneries thanks Jordan Ridener
April 7, 201115 yr I recommend AU regions and airports from Fullterrain. Which type of AC are you into? The tweaking is a parttime job in itself for some. Much will depend on your hardware and add-ons. If you search out Bojote's (a.k.a. ******* Altuve) tweaks in this forum you'll have reading material and testing for nights to come. Then there's overclocking if you're into that. Could/should boost fsx performance.Welcome to our world :-)Bjorn "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"

What are the risks of overclocking//// Jordan Ridener
April 7, 201115 yr Hi Jordan. If you list all your hardware and frequencies we can see if the risks are worth taking. You could risk losing your processor for once, so it's not just done overnight. Takes some reading toget into OC'ing, but like driving a car, if you know what you're doing, you're mostly safe. Never overclock more than your wallet allows (like with the car, never drive faster than your wallet allows ;-) )B "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
April 7, 201115 yr A good recomandation for a plane (In case you want to go muli engine from the start up): The RealAir Beech Duke and their Turbine Duke. These are really outstandung planes with great perforrmance.Search through the forum here and you won´t find a singel bad comment on these two planes.AND it would be nice if you follow Bjorn´s advice and post your system spec´s here. April 8, 201115 yr If you are looking for a great regional airliner, I fly the Feelthere Ejets V2. They have done a great job on this!I second the posts on overclocking!!! But rather than overclock and tweaks and all that, you could always build your own rig. I am not going to go into specific hardware here, but I just built my own flightsim oriented computer for cheap!! $600.00 or so. The nice thing is I don't need tweaks. Everything runs on just about full sliders. I get very good images and graphics. Look up nickN's tuning guide and he can get you set up from installing windows 7 to setting up your hardware and then FSX so that it is performance based super high quality visuals! My next add on will be a PMDG product of some kind as I have heard alot about PMDG that is good so.As far as FSX itself goes over FS9, I have flown everything back to FS98. Even earlier. But as far as FSX/FS9 are concerned it depends on your hardware then on what you are looking for your simulator to do.I like FSX for the more realism it brings. However I took a hit using my old machine. Now my wifes Facebook Machine :( . So that was the genesis for building my own rig. FS9 is still an awesome flight sim and will run better on older machines. I haven't yet tested it on the new rig. If you fly primary aircraft, like C172 etc, you'd do well to stick with FS9 and be just fine. If you are looking for more realism then FSX is the way to go in my opinion.TAKE CARE!! Respectfully, Jet
April 8, 201115 yr Moderator ....also can someone suggest the best addons such as planes and sceneries thanks I recommend all the planes and sceneries in my signature. However, out of all the stuff listed, I am not to fond of the Wilco E-Jets 170/190 and some of the Aerosoft airports I have required some end user tweaking to get better performance out. April 15, 201115 yr Author Better re-think adding a lot of powerhungry addons - unless you are also buying a new computer.Sorry, but you are bound to be disappointed.Yep I found that out this weekend The highest frame rate i got was 30 then it would drop down to 5... Does that sound Ideal?Well, it´s all about CPU power. What´s the CPU? You should try to get at least 3 GHZ to enjoy to e certain degree. And also the grafic card isn´t the best but I think it is worth a try. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
