New Console games are $60 In the U.S correct? Well games here can get $120 AU. Let alone special editions. So I guess I'm used to paying premium prices. Basically I think I understand why that 200 figure sounds so absurd to others. It is alot to me too don't get me wrong. Just a little social economic observation I have made.

You never know. It could cost over $200 by the time you add all the variants. I will be downloading, saves being ripped off by the companies here who try and sell for double :( Its just hard to predict what they will be selling first. I remember the old 737 had the 600/700 then you pay extra for the 800/900. It could be like that. All I like is the 700 and 800 :(

yaai 700/800 are most important but i think one of the beta testers stated that 600-900 will be included for sure

They all have same cockpit right? Like dimensions etc

Yes same dimensions, nothing in the cockpit changes from variant to variant. The cabin does change by length depending on type and externally, everything else is the same except fuselage length and the addition of a tail skid on the -800/900. However there is a bit of a gotcha with the -600, the cargo door positions are different and no winglets (uneconomical/too heavy for the type to be of any benefit)Regardless of what type is flown, the only thing that a pilot has to be aware of is the inertia and handling qualities and of course being aware of what type your flying when taxying :-)We've got it all!Cheers,

Suggesting it should be $200 is simply ridiculous because that is more than FSX costs to buy brand new. :(
Outrageous reasoning! That is like saying LabVIEW shouldn't cost $16,000 because that is more than the cost of Windows. FSX is just the "operating system" on which the "simulation" is built.Best regards,Robin.

Also guys, think how many more hours you will spend enjoying the NGX over the next few years compared to how many day you would be playing the latest Call of Duty or whatever console games people are buying now. Using that formula the NGX will cost thousands, lol!

i can imagine the reaction of my dad and his holy cc if i tell him that it costs 100$ or more.... it will be like "WHAT ARE YOU SERIOUS???"and the only wor i'll answer is "yep":-P

Robert has already stated that the price will be fairly close to the price of previous releases. Suggesting it should be $200 is simply ridiculous because that is more than FSX costs to buy brand new. :(
Of course it won't be 200, but there isn't anything unreasonable about it costing more than FSX. This is a well researched, thorough simulation built on FSX, not just a 'new plane'
PMDG should release this premium plane with a premium price. Say $200 U.S . I honestly doubt even this will change peoples minds to purchase. Now I'm not loaded with money infact quite the contrary. I just feel PMDG First and foremost deserve it. But also it sends a clear message to other developers that people do pay more for quality. Give me your thoughts
Have you thought about students who might want to fly this bird???????? I for myself get 40€ a month and then I should pay 200$ for an addon? Sorry, but as much as I love PMDG, this is far out of my budget.Maybe some grown ups would pay that much money (I for example would if I had enough money), but there are many people who can't spend that much money for a piece of software.

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

Tamadeez I'm really glad you don't work for PMDG, especially their marketing department. If it was $200 I wouldn't buy it. We're the average working simmer, we're not rich.

There's no way we can compare FSX prices against NGX.Why!? Well, FSX sells in bigger numbers, so it can be cheap. If PMDG could sell a million copies of the NGX im sure they will be very open to set the price at 30 or 40 USD. Even 20 USD can be aceptable. The same does apply to console video games. They can be cheaper because they sell in bigger numbers.

Can you imagine this?! "Cap to FO before landing: Mmmm... Hey men, i forgot, is this a -900? or a -700??" :(

Console game prices suck though - they're all $60 now when the PC version of the same game is often $50 or $40 - makes no sense, PC sells way less copies and it's cheaper? You're looking at $90 right now to get Call of Duty: Black Ops up to the level people are playing it online at - $60 game + the two $15 map packs.
