I paid 200 for one of the early versions of X-Plane many years ago and used it about 4 times...But I agree with the OP, PMDG could price it all the way to 500 before I would even consider not buying it, of course I'm glad they wont!

Very unlikely - we appreciate the manual sales, but there isn't any real profit margin built into those - the cost really is almost all in the materials and printing. We did it just as a cool thing for people who wanted to have them, not as a way to make a bunch of money.

Robert has already stated that the price will be fairly close to the price of previous releases. Suggesting it should be $200 is simply ridiculous because that is more than FSX costs to buy brand new. :(

PMDG should release this premium plane with a premium price. Say $200 U.S . I honestly doubt even this will change peoples minds to purchase. Now I'm not loaded with money infact quite the contrary. I just feel PMDG First and foremost deserve it. But also it sends a clear message to other developers that people do pay more for quality. Give me your thoughts

I wouldn't and importantly can't buy it at $200. That is asking to much, and it wouldn't help sales.
